  • Dear Bob! Thanks for your great comment. I am glad to tell you that I completely share your ideas about teaching. and try to do my best teaching in EC. Unfortunatelly, I haven't got enough spare time for I teach my students in Kiev and also write books for them. I'd like to tell you more about myself. Hope, you don't mind.
I got very good well-round education when young. I am a graduate of 2 universities, Technical and Language. Besides I finished the School of fine arts. I have been speaking English since the age of 5. I have been teaching since the age of 25 and I really enjoy what I do.
In 1990 I was asked to translate for one American lawyer and we fell in love all of a sudden. Two years later I moved to the USA and we got married. I lived in the suburb of Gulfport but my husband also has an appartment in New Orleans and a house in Port Charlotte, FL. So, we often lived there together or separately. I love Florida so much! Lousiana is also very nice. Especially I like its nature not to say about New Orleans that is a very special and unique city.
A few years ago my mother got very sick and I returned to Kiev. After her death I decided to stay here for some time and in time I realized that I didn't want to return to my husband. So, we are still married but separated. He presented me that house in Florida, so I can move back whenever I like. I may do it after retirement. But now I am happy here teaching my students and helping people.
You are doing a great job here. I am happy to meet you.

    Have a nice day!
  • Thanks a million Bob,

I just added a comment on my 'Writing Dialogues' blog. And I copied the content here:

E: Hi Bob, thanks for your comment. Glad you find this topic useful.
B: Yeah, it's a good idea to write dialogues to improve our speaking skills.
E: Thanks again Bob. You made my day.
B: Hope more learners here can join us and write their own dialogues.

Note for learners who may possibly drop by:
--You can write a dialogue in a more causual way. You can use some abbreviations such as 'THX', 'CUZ', 'PLZ', 'BTW', 'A/S/L', etc. Here is a useful link to more abbreviations:http://www.englishclub.com/esl-chat/abbreviations.htm

    Have fun!
  • Dear Bob,
We are fortunate to have you as a friend and guide who always motivate to get best out from our common interest which is the love of English.
I know as teachers it is inborn to reach out and also learn through the process.
I have not been much on site as I am normally am, due to my kids examinations which is due end of this year
am not happy , have to work harder and get back the old standard ,

I have no experience in adult teaching as I have e with kids, yet am hoping to start Spoken English for Adults and eventually send them for higher exams and Diplomas in English, fingers cross.
Gods Grace am blessed with EC to get references pertain g the study material for adults be it business English , games quizzes, and am introducing them to my students gradually.

Can just imagine Bob the power failure, am sure that is rare in you r country but not so in mine. lol hahahahha... One leg is always out for me to run to the generator room, as I am so much addicted online.
Bob Have a nice day, over here the day is ending , it is almost midnight ,so it is good night to me, thank you once again.
    Peace and Blessings

  • Dear Bob! I am really glad to meet you here. Thanks for joining my group and answering to some questions. What a pity that many native speakers don't feel like taking part in teaching in EC! I appreciate your attitude. Are you a university teacher? I have always known the first part of that proverb (about the early bird), but as to the second I have a question: is that cheese in the mousetrap? :) . Your video made me really happy! Texas may be one of the states that saved those traditions. I didn't live there but I drove through a few times and visited rodeo. I do like country music and that spirit of America. That pig is so cool! Drinking Soda and eating pizza! Her tastes are so American and so modern! I lived in the Deep South for many years. It has been a real pleasure to "sink" in your culture again. Thanks! Have a nice day!
  • Thank you Bob for your accepted and I will try my best. :D
