  Dear Bev! Thanks for that fall slide show! I have always loved this season best of all and I love it till now. I will try to send you some pictures of our fall in Kiev. It is still "indian summer " here. This fall is so great in Kiev! It is hard to believe but it is not cold here yet. I don't know why but I do love autumn so much! Perhaps, it is the last pleasant moments before winter. Our lives are like year seasons. Thanks for being my friend!

  Dear Bev, hi! It is always great to hear from you! What a pity that there is 10 hour time difference between our places!

  I am very glad that your ankle is better. Aging is sure not the best moment in our lives. I can't still take it as a matter of course. However, my nation is famous for great sense of humor. One of our humorists said:"When you are above 50 you wake up and feel no pain, it means that you are dead". So, I prefer to wake up with pain. My problem is my back.

  Well, about "anglophone". Its meaning is quite clear but I have never heard it from Americans. It is my student who wrote it in her essay. She communicates with native speakers from the USA and Canada and she heard it from French speaking Canadians. It is her understanding that it means English speaking Canadians who don't know French. In my opinion, it may have some nationalistic background in Canada. I always recommend my students to avoid words and expressions they are not sure in. I hope, you agree.

  I believe you will be done with your work in time. Please, tell my hi to your husband and your pets.

  May I ask you a question? You see, living in America I have never heard that term "anglophone". I realize its mening but I'd like to know if there any other sense. Is it offencive or...?
