  • Can we mix tenses, like an example below:

"X has shown a good attitude in trying to improve in English. His English is improving and he is gaining more self-confidence in both his oral and written languages. X finds spelling words challenging and requires ongoing effort and support. He is now able to write a simple sentence independently and to read beginner level storybooks with frequent support.
He has learnt some basic English structures as follows:"
X has shown: is it present participle?
His English is improving: present participial?
He is gaining and he has learnt present participial? In these sentences, can we use past tense? Because he already “gained” and already "learnt"?

    Thank you and regards
  • Thank you very much Bill. Your explanation is very clear and easily to understand.
May I ask you, when we write a student's report, what tense should we use?
  • You are so dedicated to your teaching. They are so lucky to have you.
  • When we use: We would / We could?
I hear my friend offen said: "I wouldn't ..." when we use "would"/"could"?
    Regards
  • Thanks Bill.
I am wondering have you prepared a teaching program for yourself?
  • Hello Bill, please accept me into your list.
I'm English learner with difficulty to chose a word suitably, i think my grammar is not good enough to be confident in writing.
It's nice if i can write and get a correction from you.
    Thank you.
    Taduc.
