In my town sushi isn't being sold, but I have tried "stroganina" - in Russian - :-))) - sliced frozen fish with spice - it is tasty! "Stroganina" is Russian sishi! :-)))

This is Pogranichnaya street in my town.I like La Mer by Debussy, who was an impressionist in music. Thanks to you, I'm now a little bit aware of Japanese woodcut-Ukiyoe. Ukiyoe is very beautiful and dainty.

I don't know if it's good or bad that those Russian pictures are "more life oriented"(by the way, I agree with you). I'd like to say, when looking at them, I feel a kind of joy and beatitude.

It is certainly Russian artists were influenced by French impressionists.
Among them are K.Korovin,V.Serov,I.Levitan,I.Grabar, and others.
I've read about one interesting fact that some Japanese artists had had an influence on French impressionists.
