LEAVING MY COUNTRY

I am leaving my country to move overseas. I will miss all of my friends here while I am away from the internet. My wife and I have an entire house to empty so we can let others live here while we are gone. I am spending many hours every day getting ready. There is so much to do when leaving your country. Many things have to be sold and others put in storage, or given away for someone who can use them. We will recycle all the unusable items, of course.Other than that, I have very busy times ahead,

Teachers use whiteboards and blackboards for all kinds of reasons, and the best teachers also share their whiteboards with students! It is hard to imagine a classroom without one. Interactive whiteboards are cool too. I recently read about a school where the whole wall was a whiteboard. Okay, so we all agree that a whiteboard is an essential classroom tool, but what

Ok, readers, I'd like to put something forward!

You may have probably noticed that I've been trying to use more idioms in my writing (blogs, comments, etc) recently. You may make nothing of it or some idioms may mean nothing to you. But I'd like to put it plainly that I go along with you here: There is no point in using too many idioms in a paragraph. Sorry if I'm driving you up the wall or if I put my foot in my mouth.

But when it comes to learning English, what I just said may make sense. Maybe y

It was an extremely exciting moment when the news said the first miner had been rescued early this morning. correctionDo you wish teachers on MyEC would correct your English? Do you wonder why we don't fix ALL of your mistakes? Not all English learners on our club want teachers to suggest corrections. Some English learners come here to practise English in a safe place. On MyEC, we don't want you to feel judged for your written (or spoken) English. You are not getting a mark! You have enough tests, quizzes, and projects that get graded. We all come here from different backgrounds. We all have different skill lev

What do I see ….? Well…it depends on what I want to see at some definite moment and what I want to notice and what things I consider as unimportant and don’t see them at all. My view changes every second as the city is alive (though when you look at the pictures it seems that it’s still sleeping)…people walking, wind blowing, sky clearing up and then clouding over again, the tax
