Music as a Medicine

We know different kinds of medicine like prescription medicines, over the counter medicines and complementary medicines such as vitamin, mineral, herbal and so forth. We take these medicines for fast relief.

How about Music as a Medicine?

I would not doubt to say, Yes, it is a medicine. A different kind of medicine that I'm so addicted to it. It is a medicine for my soul and spirit. For my opinion, those medicines that I mentioned before are medicine for our body. How about medicine for our soul and spirit? Whenever I'm sad, loosing hope, like all burden in this world is on my shoulder I just turn on my music player and listen to songs that has heartfelt knowledge (Christian Pop Songs). Symphony music is also a medicine like the Mozart Classical symphony. Discovery Health says, tuning into it makes you smart especially to babies. It help children's cognitive development. It can increase your brainpower. Hmmm, try to listen to it folks though you're not kid anymore. Music makes us happy too, when you feel the rhythm, beat and tune of the song you feel like all your problems fall apart. Music is really a therapy. It plays interesting role in our lives. It is an amazing medicine that anytime you can have it. All you have to do is put on your headphone and listen. No restriction or prohibition, just enjoy and keep the music alive. And it is good for your health ;).

Keep me posted...share your thoughts!

Hi everyone, especially to all the Father's here in My EC. Since, it is Father's Day today I want you to express your feelings by writing message, quotes, thank you card, or anything that you can able to  show how lucky you are to have him. Well, I am not that good in creating my own wordings so I prefer to sing Butterfly Fly Away by Miley Cyrus. It is very wonderful and touching song of hers.

Again, Happy Father's Day. This song goes to all of you.

Lyric:

You tucked me in, turned out the light
Kept me safe and sound at night
Little girls depend on things like that

Brushed my teeth and combed my hair
Had to drive me everywhere
You were always there when I looked back

You had to do it all alone
Make a living, make a home
Must have been as hard as it could be

And when I couldn't sleep at night
Scared things wouldn't turn out right
You would hold my hand and sing to me

Caterpillar in the tree
How you wonder who you'll be
( From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/m/miley-cyrus-lyrics/butterfly-fly-away-lyrics.html )
Can't go far but you can always dream

Wish you may and wish you might
Don't you worry, hold on tight
I promise you there will come a day
Butterfly fly away

Butterfly fly away, butterfly fly away
Flap your wings now you can't stay
Take those dreams and make them all come true

Butterfly fly away, butterfly fly away
We've been waiting for this day
All along and knowing just what to do
Butterfly, butterfly, butterfly, butterfly fly away

Butterfly fly away
Butterfly fly away

Sing Along to a Beatles Song

Here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right.

Does this sound familiar? Yes, that song was one of the popular songs of THE BEATLES. Located in Liverpool, England this English Rock band appeared in 1960. I was not yet born on that year but I'm pretty sure they are acclaimed to be the very successful band in the history of music. Their songs are still playing on the radio station here, there and everywhere. As they say, "it's an oldie but goodies". Those who were born in 1960's probably experienced how the phenomena BEATLEMANIA was. The band consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr also known as the FAB FOUR. Their innovative ways of music made them famous from pop ballad to psychedelic rock into a  classic genres of music. Hey Jude and Let it be are the Beatles best works. They are the best selling band according to Guinness World Records. The band received seven Grammy Awards and others such as Best Original Songs/Compositions. They are also included in the 20th Century's 100 Most Influential People. I know there are so much to say about the Beatles history and on how they break up. There are lot of links you can read about their history. They had worked together over 10 years.

Some learners of English use The Beatles song as their motivation. By listening to them everyday it will make them understand individual words, especially the ones which appear in the song title. According to them, "The Beatles songs gives them opportunity to explore the music and words of their greatest hits. It is their learning resources to create fun and educational experience for all". That's a Fun-tastic way of learning.

My mission is to bring back The Beatles Songs by our famous Idols here in MyEC :). So come together! It will not be a hard day's night but sort of a day tripper not eight days a week. We are not going nowhere man. I will help you lay a magical msytery tour. Like Lucy in the sky with diamond singing Ob-la-di-ob-la-da across the universe. With a little help from my friends, you gonna hear some of the hit songs of The Beatles. Only here in MyEC. All you need is love...love our renditions and your opinion carries a lot of weight. We've got everything you need. We Karaoke Group can work it out. You can sing along with us too :).

The Best Day of My Life

Today, when I woke up, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life ever!

There were times when I wondered if I would make it today; but I did! And because I did

I'm going to celebrate!

Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life

I've have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings,

and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.

I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart.

I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts:

the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the tress, the flowers, the birds.

Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.

Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people.

I'll make someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an

unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know.

Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down.

I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them

and how much they mean to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and

start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me.

I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time

because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.

Tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens.

I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and

I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.

As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow,

I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child,

excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be.......

The Best Day of My Life

by: Gregory M. Lousignont, PH. D

I sincerely dedicate this poem to my friend's twin sister who died in Breast Cancer just this Monday. It was a poem written in Nordie's at Noon book, a personal stories of four women " too young" for breast cancer.

I heard few stories of her, how she suffered, how she fight Cancer, how to say I'm okey in front of her kids, etc. I almost cried and I can feel my friend's heart ache of letting go of her twin sister. I know she is in God's keeping. May you rest in peace.

Embrace each day as a gift. Each day is the best day of our Life.

Avril Lavigne Still Rockin'

  Uh huh, life's like this
Uh huh, uh huh, that's the way it is....

wait... this is not the way it is. She is not

what I'm thinking. Repeat!

'Cause life's like this
Uh huh, uh huh that's the way it is. Now, the real one :)

I dreamt to copy her voice, her doing and her style in dressing up when I was at my 20's. But as you can see it is not possible. No..I can't be like her even to copy cat hehehe. Huge fan of her will get angry at me. Yeah, you got it. I'm talking about Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne who is still pretty incredible with her albums. She was born on September 27, 1984 in Belleville,Ontario Canada and started singing church songs at the age of 2. Wow! Her parents was so supportive with her talent. They even took her to karaoke sessions. She teaches her self to play guitar to showcase her powerful voice. She was discovered at age 14 singing in a book store though she already performing at country fairs at a very young age.

Lavigne burst upon the music scene at age of 17 known as a young-pop-punk singer who refused to resort to skin-baring. She enjoys playing different instrument, whip out the guitar, get on the drums and play the piano. She is totally awesome! I wish to play musical instrument but no one wants to help me even just guitar. Let go was her  first album released in 2002 featuring Complicated, Sk8er Boi and I'm with you. Second album was in 2004 titled Under My Skin peaked in US Billboard 200. After, she took the time off and worked on a couple of movies.  She got married July 2006 to SUM41 frontman Deryck Whibley and spent writing songs and recording to her third album  The Best Damn Thing which was released in 2007 . Girlfriend, When You're Gone, HOT and Keep Holding on were her hit songs in that album. But after three years of marriage, the singer filed for divorce from her husband and they both say they got separated on good terms hmmn. That is why her fourth album Goodbye Lullabye sounds like a regretful tune but still her irrepressible  brattiness can't crack :).

Avril Lavigne's albums was certified sold out worldwide and peaked UK/US Billboard Chart. She said "that it is a very special thing to have people around the world who knows her music and also come to hear her live." Avril loves singing so much and that she is living in her dreams.

Latest news, Avril was already done with her Black Star Tour in Asian country started in Japan, China, Philippines and Malaysia. It was her third time to hold a concert here in Philippines too bad I can't afford to buy her concert ticket hmmn. The upcoming album is rumoured  to be released this year. Watch out for that. Finally, AOL Music voted her as the Most Influential Lady In Pop Music today. It was a race between her and Lady Gaga. Congrats Avril... You really rock! Oh she tweeted 4 days ago that she is giving 10 fans the chance to win all 12 designs of her Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips. She loves to wear black nail polish. I don't like nail polish I want ticket for her next concert or compilation of her album. Wish she can hear me ;).

Thanks for reading my article. In case you want to hear more about her songs just visit her here.

Goodnight!

Music has no language. For me without Music, commercial breaks in television is boring to watch, baby could not sleep without the lullaby of their mother, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston  could have died an ordinary man/woman, no one will sing in the shower. Wedding, birthday, honeymoon or any occasion are totally boring (no happy happy time). My life is incomplete without Music. To sum it up the world is so silent and no meaning at all.

Share your thoughts and shout it out @ Music Hub Group.

Thanks!

MyEC DJ

Hello there! This is MileyJ from Philippines. I am not well known to others but I guess some here knew me already. Maybe when they hear MileyJ, one thing that goes up in their mind is Music/Singing/Karaoke ;).

Honestly, I was surprised when someone sent me a message to participate in this kind of wonderful activity by Miss Tara - MyEC DJ. Thanks for informing me Star Y  and to others who believes in my ability (shy). I am not that 100% confident to be a DJ but all I want is to be part of #musicchat . I love to participate and share my ideas to all of you. I am officially submitting my application to be part of this activity. It would be a great pleasure to join you guys.

I consider myself as a music lover since I started singing gospel songs in our church when I was a kid. It was a good start to appreciate music hymns. My crave to play musical instrument didn't happen that time because I'm focusing on being a choir member. I'm so thankful to my parents and God that they open my eyes in music. As I get older, I'm learning to sing and listen to different music genres be it on radio, television and now in Youtube. I love watching American Idol, Glee, X - Factor and the likes. I believe that if your into music, you should love it with all of your heart.

Music is a big part of my life. It helps me to express my feeling or emotion in a pleasant way. If you can't utter or express your feeling show it through music. Pop/Pop rock, Rhythm and Blues (RnB), Alternative Rock, Country, Hip-hop and little bit of Classic are my forms of music.

When it comes to favourite song and band oh..too many to mention. The Climb by Miley Cyrus is my most favourite song. Daughtry, Creed and boy bands are few of my cup of tea. Music is a groundbreaking for me. It leads me to dream more. To make your dream happen is not easy but it is not impossible, right?

Music causes people to talk, act and express the way they do. It brings out exchange of views on every people. We can't deny that music affects everyone. As Madonna said, "Music makes the people come together". In addition, we can Learn English Thru Songs (LETS). Vocabularies, phrases, idioms, figurative speech are available in lyric of the song. The good thing is, by listening to music every time you can improve your speaking skills by singing the song. It makes your pronunciation well.

I am ready to take part of MyEC DJ. I may not be the official DJ still I am happy to be one of your chatmates in #musicchat. Let's gather all our ideas and make conversation through it. I'm telling you Music is a stress reliever :). So come and indulge Music!

P. S.

If you want to request a song just beep me, as I love to sing with all of you.

I'll try my best to work on it.

You can visit me @Karaoke Group.

MileyJ signing off ;)

Good Day everyone!

My Tribute to Ms. Whitney Houston

Miss Whitney Houston is an amazing woman with an incredible clear tone/vocal. Born on August 9, 1963 in New Jersey. Her mother is Cissy Houston and has a daughter  named Bobby Kristina. Dionne Warwick is her cousin and Aretha Franklin is her grandmother who were legendary figures in American gospel and soul music like her. She sung at their local church when she was a kid. Truly, she is a Legacy.

She was discovered in a nightclub by the renowned Clive Davis of Arista records. It is where her stardom began. Her hit singles are " Saving All My Life For You" and " How Will I Know " that ran for fourteen non consecutive weeks. That record gave her a Grammy Award in 1986 and it was presented by her cousin, Dionne Warwick. She was a successful star from the first time she entered music industry. Her first album sold ten million dollars...best seller! Had a hit on a Billboard contemporary charts..a record breaker! I wish I have a voice like her. It has been said that she was really a good influence to black women.

When she is performing it is always a goosebump and all her songs was related to her. It means it is real. From music industry she also entered film industry, The Bodyguard. This was her debut acting career. Its official soundtrack " I will always love you " was a massive hit leading her to become the POP Princess. This movie was also a number one hit. A very romantic film, you know what made me giggled it was her bodyguard Kevin Costner.

Here in Philippines, whenever there are amateur singing contest, one of the singer's template is her songs. Her voice and songs are really infectious particularly to those who love to sing (like me). She is an inspiration not only to musical performers, but to everyone around the world.

Unfortunately, her career got off track when she married Bobby Brown who is also a singer (I am not certain if he was one the reasons of the declined career of Ms. Houston). They say her personal life was troubled because of her stormy marriage and divorced to Bobby Brown. Rumours said that she was consistently using drugs that lead to a career decline (sad). But she made a comeback with 2009's " I look to you". Before she died, she performed in 2011 Pre - Grammy Gala.

Filipino singers mourn Whitney Houston's death. Many local artists tweeted about her death saying about all her great contributions in music industry. They sung her phenomenal hit songs like Party Pilipinas did ( an entertainment show in my country) last Sunday, February 12. It was really a shocking news. The last time I read Yahoo news was about her condition/status in life. It was like a premonition on me. When I got home from church, I was watching TV show and wondered why are they singing Whitney Houston songs and they are like teary eyed. I asked my mother if Whitney already died. She just shrugged her shoulder. At the Breaking News, it was confirmed that she was dead (February 11). I guess until now they don't know what was the cause of her death.

As a music lover, her music will live on and on. She is really an icon in the music industry. An idol to every rising stars.  " Miracle, When You Believe, Greatest Love of All, One Moment in Time, and On my Own are few of my favorite songs of her. To you Miss Whitney Houston, your music remain forever. Goodbye and I love you. I want you to know that all your songs are amazing. May you rest in peace.

On My Own (mp3)

This song gives me hope. Thank you for this wonderful piece, Miss Whitney.

Give Thanks to the Lord

Thank God for being with me through out this year.

I sleep and wake up because you, Lord protect and keep me safe.

Each day and night you listen to my prayer; you never reject or ignore me.

Whenever I make mistake you always correct and clear my mind.

I know sometimes or maybe everyday you get angry with me and I deserve to be punish. I accept it.

You know me fully.

You heard me crying, laughing, singing and praising.

Really, Thank you for watching me over.

You know that there are lot of things to be thankful for you.

You are my best friend. It is "In You we live and move and exists".

Thank you for having this blessing called LIFE.

I"ll Stand By You (mp3)

King David goes at length to assert that only an ignorant person would not know - only a fool would not understand - that it is good to give thanks to God.

So, what would you give thanks to God?

GOD or Allah would love to hear it.

The Marriage Rules

Hello everybody!

I know some of here are married, or into relationship status. Actually, I haven't heard of any new marriage rules, as long as my husband and I are doing great then no point of setting rules. But then, one day as I was cleaning my stuff at home, suddenly an old magazine caught my attention. So, I sat down for a while and scanned the contents of magazine. It is more of marriage, parenting and fashion issues. Then I found this article saying there is a new marriage rules. Hmmn, I am curious, so after cleaning I read this article. It reveals what it really takes to keep couples united and happy most especially to young couples ( like me) hehehehe.

Here's the latest marital trends and guidelines to stay in sync with your better half. To make your wedded life work better according to the article I read.

1. OLD RULE : Spend all your leisure time together. And be suspicious if your spouse wants away- from- you time.

NEW RULE : Occasionally go out with friends - without your spouse. It's normal and even necessary, and will enrich your marriage.

2. OLD RULE : Seek professional counselling to help a troubled marriage.

NEW RULE : Make a good marriage great from the start by learning helpful relationship skills taught through couple's workshop.

3. OLD RULE : Husbands and wives should divide housework equally.

NEW RULE : Do chores according to whichever partner has the appropriate skills, time, and inclination to do them.

4. OLD RULE : The true test of a marriage is how well you get through big crises.

NEW RULE : The little, everyday things - both positive and negative - are what really determine a relationship's success.

5. OLD RULE : To have a strong marriage, choose a partner who shares the same background as you.

NEW RULE : For a strong union, it doesn't matter if your backgrounds are different; your negotiating and compromising skills are important.

6. OLD RULE : A couple's romantic relationship must always take a backseat when they become parents.

NEW RULE : After you have a child, it's crucial to make your marriage the priority.

7. OLD RULE : Intercourse is less important the longer you're wed.

NEW RULE : Keep marriage emotionally satisfying - no matter how many anniversaries have passed.

Hope you gain insight regarding this article I read. Try to discuss it to your spouse or love one. And take your marriage life happily ever after.

IF I WERE A VOICE

If I Were A Voice is a poem written by Charles Mackay. I want to share it with you guys. It is very meaningful and it contains a strong message. In every stanza it portrays a certain virtue.

Actually, this is not a blog. I love to post it as a gift for my self  since it is my B - DAY! I adopted this poem because it suits my wishes for this world we live in.

IF I WERE A VOICE

If I were a Voice - a persuasive Voice

That could travel the wide world through,

I would fly on the beams of the morning light

And  speak to men with a gentle might.

And tell them to be true.

I'd fly I'd fly over land and sea

Wherever a human heart might be,

Telling a tale, or singing a song,

In praise of the Right - in blame of the Wrong.

If I were a Voice - a consoling Voice

I'd fly on the wings of the air;

The home of Sorrow and Guilt I'd seek,

And calm and truthful words I'd speak,

To save them from Despair.

I'd fly, I'd fly over the crowded town,

And drop, like the happy sunlight, down

Into the hearts of suffering men,

And teach them to rejoice again.

If I were a Voice - a controlling Voice

I'd travel with the wind;

And, wherever I saw the nations torn

By warfare, jealousy or scorn,

Or hatred of their kind.

I'd fly, I'd fly on the thunder crash,

And into their blinded bosoms flash;

And, all their evil thoughts subdued,

I'd teach them a Christian Brotherhood.

If I were  voice - an immortal Voice

I'd speak in the people's ear;

And whenever they shouted "Liberty"

Without deserving to be free,

I'd make their error clear.

I'd fly, I'd fly on the wings of the day,

Rebuking wrong on my world - wide way,

And making all the Earth rejoice

If I were a Voice - an Immortal voice

If I were a Voice - a pervading Voice

I'd seek the Kings of Earth;

I'd find them alone on their beds at night,

And whisper words that should guide them right,

Lessons of priceless worth.

I'd fly more swift than the swiftest bird,

And tell them things they never heard -

Truths which the ages for aye repeat,

Unknown to the statements at their feet.

Are you brave enough?

Are you brave enough ____________________?

Feel free to complete the question by using infinitive (like to climb, to obey, to swim, to fight, etc.) and after that answer the question whole heartedly (explain why). Now, if you consider yourself really brave enough. Declare this: "I AM BRAVE. I AM *RED".

* Red is a sign of braveness. R - Remarkably

E - Efficient and

D - Determined

Here's mine:

Are you brave enough to handle your life?

Ans. : Yes, I am brave enough and bold enough to handle my life. Whatever problems, failures, loneliness, etc. I surely give my best shot to overcome all of these. I don't want to miss this life God has given to me. I don't want to waste my time because I know our time is limited. I'll always have the courage to follow my heart and intuition. Continuously standing still with head up high and be the inspiration. If not to the world, then for my kids and for my family. "Courage is stronger than steel"  (from the movie REAL STEEL). So, I AM BRAVE. I AM RED.

Since it is month of October - month of Breast Cancer Awareness. I would like to share with all of you the Top Ten Lessons I've learned with this Book.

1. Be active with health

First, Nordie's Noon is an inspirational book written by four women courageously struggled breast cancer (Jana Peters, Patti Balwanz, Kim Carlos and Jennifer Johnson). The word "too young for cancer"strikes my attention to keep on reading it till end. As a woman, I must be aware

of what's happening inside and outside of my body.

2. Educate ones' self  and  be concern well

Having knowledge about breast cancer is vital. According to what I had read, this disease is inherited or it can happen to every woman, even at young age or those pregnant. It clears my mind that it doesnt exist at age of 40 and up. Ladies, we must perform monthly BSE (Breast Self - Examination). Early detection is better than the cure.

3. Hold on and Have hope

Suffering to such disease is very difficult and hard to admit. However, we should believe in the works of God's hand. There is sunshine after the rain. Be ready to fight and hope in the face of the storm to endure.

4. Be normal and have will to live

Whatever obstacles or disease we are encountering, stand up still. Make time for your self. We must convince our selves that life must go on. The world won't stop rotating.

5. You will always have a choice

Find what would be the the best treatment, consult oncologist, ask questions about medication and it effects. Don't hesitate to do second opinion. And discuss it with your love ones. Choose the best choices to survive.

6. Smile though your heart is aching

Give your self a good laugh or smile.  So what if you're wearing wig and breast prosthesis? Think that you're still alive and not dying.

Accept that obstacles are a part of life and be happy anyway.

7. Think positive

As I read the book, there are possibilities of having recurrence that cancer returns after treatment. Never give up and think ways to resolve it with the help of your oncologist. Try to find the positive to help get you through.

8. Always cherish relationship

Relationship with family, friends or others that are close to us is a gift that has no cost.

Their unconditional love and support is an asset that doesn't depreciates. They are always at every step of the way.

9. Give it up to God

We owe our lives to God. In any condition, God is always with us. He is only a prayer away. Don't forget to say THANK YOU GOD, each day... happy or sad. We are never alone and there are angels to see us through.

10. Make each day, the best day of your life

We must treasure every second, minute, hour of our lives. Remember trials are one way of God's test to measure our FAITH in him. Live life to the fullest. Enjoy the many blessings of life.

Thank you to Nordie's girls for such an inspiration.

God Bless Us all!

Some people find happiness in doing simple things like reading books, walking in the park, praying, answering puzzles, reading funny jokes, chatting or blogging.

For me, I find happiness in singing. My way to relax and best exercise ever. Gradually, this pleasure goes into an ambitious imagination or dream. Wanting to get heard in every corner of the world. I guess, there is nothing wrong with having an ambition in life. Though I know it is very difficult for one to become a singer. One must build a successful sound or a stunning tone quality.

The good thing is some people's pleasure turned into talent..simply amazing. It made them famous. Like those joining on reality shows such as American Idol, X - Factor, etc..Now, they're getting where they want to be.

Well, I may not be one of those who gained great achievements still I can proudly say that I'm lucky 'cuz I have a talent (smile :) ).

The least that I could do is to share it with everybody. Whatever talent we may have. Remember, this is a special gift that our Creator gave us. Let us share that gift for good and the good of others.

My own Music Lyric

Writing a poem, story, essay, research  or any kind of writings are not my strength. I admit that.

I always admire all the bloggers here. I'm learning to you by reading all your writings. So proud!

In my part, I explore myself learning  English thru music.Since, my one of my greatest passion is singing. In this way I search the meanings, language and feature of the lyric of some pop, R n B song, and other genre.

I decided to make my own composition. This is easy for me to do 'cuz it reflects my personality and greatly affect my mind. Here it is, my other way of writing :) Composing a song.

Wanna Be Somebody

I

Every time I wake up

Still dreams running to my mind

Sometimes I get upset, need to reset

I know I'm weak, but I don't freak

'Cuz I'm in control of how I live

II

Do I have to get rid

This thing "come what may"

Though totally worn out

I must think, Life is a journey

I'm screaming and say WHOHOOO...what a ride!

I have to abide.

CHORUS

Hear me out, Hear me out

Gotta be real

I know I can deal

Tell me what am I supposed to do

To make this dream come true

Turn the trick, wanna be somebody someday

III

Don't know where to go

I'm loosin' my path

Don't know where to turn

Seems road is closing off

Need somebody to hear me,keep my voice within

Learn to hold on and keep believing

Repeat Chorus

Bridge

Tell me How

Tell me When

Bring it on

Don't want to torn

I know it's not useless

I can be at my best!

P.S. If there is something that you want to share for me to alter some lyrics.

You could say so. I appreciate that.

What do you think, is it good or bad, or something is lacking?

Most of us who spent more than 15 years studying at school, there will always be those moments inside and outside our classrooms that will forever linger in our memories. Some will never forget that bully who used to pull of chair when you are about to sit, while some will laugh off the memory of their classroom clown who used to mimic the terror teachers at school. But a classroom will never be complete without a Ma'am or Sir,who either became mentor or tormentor. Let's back on the not so distant past when we were once students or still students. Let's find out what vivid classroom memories you have to your teacher. Let me begin:MileyJ : Back in college.I've always enjoyed attending Mr.Padua's class. Not because He is good looking guy (but to tell you honestly, many single ladies wants to catch his attention hehehehe)but because He really discuss accounting thoroughly. One thing I'll never forget about him is whenever we have electricity shortage/shuts down, He would tell me, Britney (he used to call me that way) please sing us a song. Yet no relevance to the subject, what to do no electricity he cant teach us cuz our room is very dim. so,I stood up and sing. My heart is melting whhhhhhhhhhhheeeee. And He appointed me to be the leader in the dance group on our class for we have to join Accountancy week and we are his representative. He was surprise that we defeat the former champion in our department. As a reward we are exempted to semi finals exam. How kind he was lol!

How does one become a good conversationalist? By having something to say and knowing how to say it. You might say, "I simply have nothing to say to people I don't know very well. I'm shy. When I see people looking at me, I get embarrassed."

To be a good conversationalist, follow these simple rules:

1. Read much. Get ideas from books, magazines, and newspaper. Be informed of the issues of the day.Formulate your own opinion.

2. Learn to listen. Listen to what others say. This is another way to become well informed. Be a good listener.

3. Learn to utilize conversational gambits. When you meet persons whom you don't know and with whom you have very little in common, utilize conversational gambits. Like sports, movies, books, personalities, activities, etc.

4. Watch your speech. Speak clearly and distinctly;don't mumble.Develop a pleasant, agreeable voice.

I wish the following are good suggestions to start with. GOOD DAY!

English is also the language of the professions - science and technology, mathematics, business, law, diplomacy, medicine, computers and international affairs. The lingua franca of the world is, and  judging from current trends, will continue to be, English for many years. All of us to compete with his counterpart from other countries, he has to develop communication competence in the language of the international community - English.

English is the language of the learned disciplines;  it is an intellectual language by way of which meaningful and broad exchanges can be carried out.
