It is wrong to think that one can write English by mastering a few rules of grammar. Rules of grammar do count, but they are not the whole. Thus, it's possible that one may write English which may be grammatically correct but may not be good English. Perspicuity or lucidity is the first requisite of a good style.
Most learners labour under the misunderstanding that the only English worth writing is the English overloaded with difficult words and phrases. They prefer long and high-sounding words to simple and familiar words of everyday prose because they want to dazzle the reader. H. W. Fowler and F.G. Fowler in their valuable book. The King's English have given the following practical rules in the domain of vocabulary. "Prefer the familiar words to the far-fetched. Prefer the correct word to the abstract. Prefer the single word to the circumlocution. Prefer the short word to the long."
Best of luck!
In connection of blog series under title as cited above, I have written its last part for the interest of readers.
On 21 August, 1945, elections to the central and provincial legislatures were announced, which would resolve the crystal-clear issue of Pakistan versus united Hindustan. The elections were held in two stages. In December, 1945 the Central legislative Assembly was elected. The Muslim League won 86.6% of the total Muslim votes and provincial elections were held on 22 February, 1946 here again the two main parties swept their respective constituencies. The Congress won total of 930 seats. The Muslim League captured 428 out of the possible 492 Muslim seats. The result of elections proved the claim of Muslim League true to the only representative body of Muslims in India and refuted the claim of the Congress to the only representative of the whole India.
Lord Mountbatten reached India in March 1947. He found India in a grip of civil war in the shape of 'communal riots'. The fierce communal clashes were taking place all over the country. The civil servants were bitterly divided by Communism and were anxious to retire. The British troops already wanted to go back to their own country and the moral of the Indian army was uncertain. Lord Mountbatten soon realized that there was no way out of the tangle other than partition.
Mountbatten announced that the British would leave by August 15, 1947, and hand over their powers to the new states of Pakistan and India. The provinces claimed must decide at once whether they wished to join Pakistan or India. There must be no more delay. The Congress and the Muslim League both agrees to these plans. For Jinnah it was a great victory. Sindh, the North-West Frontier Province (now Khaber pakhtonkhaw), Balochistan, West Punjab, Sylhet and East Bengal were included in Pakistan. This made a smaller state than the League asked for.
Notwithstanding the partition was made democratically with mutual consonance, about half a million Muslims were killed and carried away as prisoners while crossing the borders and migrating to Pakistan. All this killing and destruction shocked Jinnah who always hated violence and cruelty. He begged for peace and friendship with his former enemies. Thus, Pakistan came into existence and emerged on global map on 15th August, 1947. We celebrate Independence Day on every 14 August.

In continuation of blog series under title " A Brief History: Foundation Of Pakistan", Part Seven is presented and dedicated to my Indian friend who wanted me to write it.
The Congress, before forming its ministries, put a condition on government to give an assurance that the governors would not use their special powers of interference granted by the Constitution for the protection of minorities. In this connection, they issued a statement stating that they would special powers in the case of utmost urgency. Though the congress ministries lasted for twenty seven months, they laid down the example of atrocities and oppression.
i) The adhan and sacrifices were prohibited.
ii) The worshipers were attacked while performing prays.
iii) Pigs were put inside the mosques.
iv) Construction of mosques were banned.
Widdia Mandir Scheme
It was an attempt to erase the Muslims culture by introducing a new Educational system. The policy was aimed at converting Muslims to Hinduism it was introduced in all schools, colleges and universities.. Students were asked to pay respect and homage to Gandhi's picture everyday in assemblies. They were supposed to bow before him Ghand's picture and sing hymns in his praise. It is ironic that Dr Zakir Hussain, a congress Muslim leader was the author of his scheme.
Wardha Scheme.
This scheme was the outcome of Gandhi’s philosophy. It was based o Hindu Nationalism and on the principles of Non-violence. The main aim was to create a high respect among young minds in order to isolate young generations of the Muslims from their religion, religion and civilization. Hindi was made the official language and made compulsory in all educational centre and offices. No separate Muslims schools were provided nor any arrangements made for training for Urdu speaking teachers.
Bande Matram
It was a song written by Bengali novelist, Bankim Chatterjee this novel Anand Math. Which invoked divine assistance against the Muslims and the British and aroused the people to drive both out of India. This song, obviously distasteful to the Muslims, was made a sort of National Anthem by the Congress and was sung not only at all its meetings but also at the opening of legislative assembly sessions in the Hindu provinces. Despite Muslims protested it, it continued to be the Congress song till 1947.
Second World War broke out in September 1939. The Viceroy, Lord Linlithgow, proclaimed India's entry into it without prior consultation with the Central Assembly or the main political parties. As demanded was not accepted, the Congress Ministries in provinces in which they were in power, resigned between 27 October-15 November, 1939 and governors assumed the control of the administration. There upon Jinnah declared 22 December,1939 as a 'Day of Deliverance'.

In continuation of blog series under title as written above and demanded by an Indan friend, I have written its fifth part as promised with him.
The Nehru Report, which made the Hindu-Muslim rift final and irrevocable, had sowed a seed of separate homeland for Muslims. In response to vide report, Muhammad Ali Jinnah announced his famous Fourteen Points in March 1929 during the session of All Indian Muslim League. Although these points were not given any importance in the Congress circle as well as by the government authorities, yet it postulated Muslims as a separate national identity.
Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, popularly known as poet-philosopher of East and Allama Iqbal initiated the idea of separation. He, while addressing to the League's annual session at Allahabad in December, 1930, said, " I would like to see the Punjab, North-West Frontier Province [now called Khyber Pakhtunkhaw], Sindh and Balochistan amalgamated into a single state. Self-government within the British Empire or without the British Empire, the formation of a consolidated North West Indian Muslim State appears to me to be the final destiny of the Muslims, at least of North-West India."
After his speech, he convinced Muhammad Ali Jinnah in this regard, saying that there was no any leaders except him who could lead the Muslim to the independence. As a matter of fact, Nahru and extremist Hindus were leading Muslim to the separation. Resultantly, Nahru and Ghandi stood to trash Indian Muslim to the corner. For they used some rental Islamic scholars into their favour, especially scholars belonging to the Dar-Ul-Uloom Deo-Band rejected the ideology of Pakistan. Muslims in India had been divided into two groups, one stood by All Indian Muslim League and other supported the Congress.

A Brief History: Foundation Of Pakistan Part Four.
In continuation of blog series under title as cited above, part four is written as demanded by an Indian friend.
The Bengal was parted on 1905. But, after strong agitation from Hindus and boycott of British's products, the partition of Bengal was annulled on 1911. Indian Muslim lost an opportunity to get a Muslim electorate elected who could rise the voice of Indian Muslim in the Assembly. It had awaken many Muslim and Muslim leaders. On 1913, Muhammad Ali Jinnah joined All India Muslim League on this condition that he would not give up supporting the Congress. He tried his level best to bring these two rival closer to each other, so as to come to amicable points. One of his great success was Lucknow pact, 1916 where Muslim as a separate electorate was accepted by the congress. On 1918, he resigned from congress after seeing non-serious of Hindus leaders toward the issues of Indian Muslims.
Even after resignation from Congress on1918, Jinnah had not thought of a separate homeland for Indian Muslim at that time. He continued hoping for the powerful India. Jaswat Singh, who is formal foreign minister of India at the platform of BJP, wrote a book on Jinnah mentioning therein Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a greater leader than Ghadhi for his unbiased ideas of independence. Resultantly, he was ostracized from his part. Yet he didn't abjure from his remarks on Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
But the draft constitution entrusted to the committee led by Moti Lal Nehru held 08 March, 1928 and published in August, 1928 general known as Nehru Report once again left Indian Muslims in a daze. The proposals in the draft constitution were laid down as under:-
1) Muslim electorates (separate electorates) were to be immediately abolished.
2) The Muslim desires for the reservations of 56% seats in the Punjab and 55% seats in Bengal legislatures and an effective 1/3 representation at Central Legislature were turned down.
3) A declaration of rights should be inserted in the constitution, assuring the fullest liberty of conscience and religion.
It was quite impossible for Indian Muslims to agree to that proposals which were against the interest of them. The Muslim League had formulated some suggestions to be incorporated in the form of amendment in the draft of the Nehru Report. All of them were rejected by the Hindu Majority at the All Parties Conference. Explaining his point of view at the conference, Muhammad Ali Jinnah said, "If you do not settle this question today, we shall have to settle it tomorrow, but in the meanwhile our national interests are bound to suffer."
How did Jinnah respond to the Nehru Report? To know it, please wait till my next blog.

The British, who ruled at subcontinent for about more than a century, had laid down the foundation of English as an official language, which is still the language of the court, public and private sectors in my country. Therefore, English is taught as a compulsory subject from grade one to grade fourteen. A candidate for the job must possess the ability to write it excellently.
At my time, English used to be taught from grade six. So, we started learning this language very late. At the beginning, I had no idea about its importance. I just recognized it as the language of cartoon and censored English movies which were broadcasted by PTV only in a certain time. The more I watched cartoon, the more I became enthusiastic about learning it.
After completion of one year, when we were asked to write a short note on my hometown, I was bit confused what to write. I just wrote four lines, two words in which were roman English. The next day, the teacher came in class with test papers. While distributing papers, he expressed displeasure. I felt as if I hurt him with my bad performance in the test. Thereafter, I studied harder just to please him. When he appreciated me, I felt great. Gradually, I began falling in love with English to the extent that I began speaking English with foreigners, whenever I found them on streets, market, or any other place in my country, just after completion of grade 11 study.
Approximately three years after graduation, there was nothing progress made in the language, but I did a routine work causing a great loss which I realized when I appeared in a competitive exam for higher job. Then I castigated myself, "neither I ignored English nor did it ignore me back". Since then, I began loving it, hoping it would love me back. Let's see if it loves me back or not or how long does this love last? :D
There were so many friends, who came and went in my life without being noticed, but Ahmed left long lasting impression on me. He used to sit beside me at the same desk during the class. He always encouraged me whenever I hesitated to do anything new. When I performed bad, all the classmates laughed at me except him. Besides this, he always told me very confidential matters without fear of being betrayed.
I used to make fun of him whenever he talked to me about his fiancee. Hearing the name of his beloved, he used to blush. Apart from joking, he loved her so much even more than his own life. I have really missed him since he left for London. We hardly take time to communicate. Besides communication on Skype, we write letters to each other. By doing so, we enjoyed a lot.
After being inspired from the poem written by Rose De Leon and published by Fr@nk on EC, I have written mine. I am looking forward to knowing your viewpoints how I did my job.
I forgave you whenever you disheartened;
Gave you warm welcome when you returned
But you gave me tears and pains in return;
At my sorrowful feeling you made so much fan.
You have broken my trust two times;
When you were caught of two-timing two times
I never miss you when you depart;
I have dislodged you from my heart.
Since deception you are nothing in my life;
I changed my decision to make you my wife.
Two-time means to carry on a romantic relationship with two people at the same time
Every parent dreams about choosing the best girls for sons. For they make all possible efforts to make dream come true. Whether girls or boys both have to go through the interviews by elders. In interviews, both are asked to tell them their liking and disliking or they try to scrutinize minds of both by their own way to ascertain if this pair can be successful or not. So, I would like to share with a case of a couple chosen by their parents for the interest of readers. What happened after marriage?
Sunny was a very smart boy who always insisted on a girl who look smart by figure and a bit tall. His parent, after spontaneous efforts, found such girl who, apart from being by figure smart and tall, is so beautiful by face too. He was so much exited as if he had won the lottery. The date of marriage was fixed. Finally the day came for which every groom and bride waited impatiently. Having given his first glance at her, he inhaled deep breath and felt very relaxed after having a dream girl with him.
Few months went by, he noticed that the newly married girl got much weights. Resultantly, her figure began losing attractions. On the first anniversary of the marriage, when she stood beside him, it seemed like that a cow stood beside a goat :). His heart was broken due to this reason. Whenever they both came out of home for walk together, they looked like that a truck moved with a bicycle. She occupied a whole bed while sleeping. He, helplessly, had to sleep on the floor. Besides, he didn't want to die from being hit by the truck. :D
He was bit curious about the fact as to how she had got such bulky figure. He was left in a complete daze to see the way she was having food. "Oh my God!" He exclaimed! "she was gourmand." He screamed unintentionally. He said to himself " hmmm therefore, she always refuses to eat anything with me". Despite many advice, she didn't agree to lose even one pound. He was fed up with such life. Finally, he decided second marriage within a month and told her his decision, but she paid no attention. It's because, she was truly sincere to food and always dreamed the aggregation of various food around her. After having too much food, she was mesmerized all the time and callous about the feeling of her husband.
The guys I have told you everything barely. Make sure if she is gourmand or not before taking any decision and also tell it to your parent if they are looking for someone for you. :D
