Been a while and here I am again now :D On blog sections there are list of blogs with the same title and seems like you are having another writing challenge. Okay, I am in!

Life hacks... As I have read on Tara's blog about its definition, I have one that really helps me. You know what? I am not embarrassed to say that I am quite proud of myself for being smart because I found a way to deal with it lol. :D :D :D

Curious to know what it is? Let me tell you a bit about behind the story.

People around me knows how I love cakes and chocolate. Not sure if they know that I like to bake also. I always like to watch cooking show on tv since many years. To me it is a wonderful feeling to be able to bake something from flours and sugar and eggs to a wonderful and delicious cakes. Pssst, did you know that plus point of baking or cooking is you can win someone's heart with it? ;)

Since I love to bake, so I need to have baking equipments. I already have trays, mixer (which I am so glad to buy it with a nice price after googling for days), molds, spatula, etc. Unfortunately, there is one thing that I still don't have COL. (means crying out loud and yes, I just made it up :p :D ). That thing is... an oven. It's not that expensive, but I can't beg others to buy it for me :(

How can I bake brownies then if I don't have an oven? Or lava cake? Or bread? Or ice cream?? Wait, ice cream isn't baked. Well then for a while, I can only bake steamed cake. Now ladies and gents, I have found a way out for my problems.

I use this thing, a quite thick unused skillet to be my oven. Guess what, it works well. Quite well though it doesn't have the termometer. With it, I have baked a simple brownies, cheese muffins, chocolate chip muffins, and a pennylane brownies. I will try another recipes soon with my oven :D

Reading the news lately made me feel to share this to you, English club members. It’s about someone called Tarnedi, a 54 years old guy and working as a taxi driver for 20 years. But this one, is a special driver. Not because he has the skills like those guys do in the Fast too Furious movie with the crowded and hectic street of Jakarta. What makes him being the news headlines these days is because his English.

You know how old he is, but yet he is still eager to learn English. He didn’t graduate from elementary school, but decided to learn English since about 2 years ago. It all started when he had foreigners in his cab and they all talked in English saying “meeting” over and over again. Got tired and maybe a little bit of curiosity with the word, he asked one of them who then told him the meaning. The next day, he got another foreigner. This one asked him to wait.

“Please waiting”, the foreigner said.

Tarnedi refused. That time, he thought “waiting” is the word he had learned, which is “meeting”. So he refused because he didn’t want to join the meeting. After he found out the meaning of “waiting”, he regretted that moment for losing him a passenger and decided to learn English so that language barrier should not be a problem anymore.

"After that I always ask my customer with English everyday until now," he said in English.

Not only that, he also asks them to write a sentence in English which he will try to find the meaning using his dictionary given by his passengers. Here’s some of them:

“Dear Mr Tarnedi, I am one of the many female police officer serving in Jakarta. I am comfortable in your taksi. I was not wrong to choice taxi.
As old at your age, you are still eager to make a living and you are still eager to learn the English Language with your passanger. I hope you can fit the spirit of it. Best regards, NF.”

“You are always seeing extraordinary. But the truth is you are the extraordinary one.
So, dont judge book by is cover”.

“I always remember your advice, I will not marry before graduade.
Quote: To be yourself in a world that is trying to make you someone else is the great accomplishment.”

Well, isn’t he amazing? Hope this guy inspires you.

I will leave you with his words when he was asked to give a speech for drivers by one of his passenger and a video. Of course, in English.

"Oke my friend it is nice to meet to you. I'm not here to teach but to learn as more you guys. I want to encourage all of you to speak English. We don't want to leave our culture, but we also don't want to leave behind. The best is we learn together.”

I came online this afternoon and chat a little bit. After that, I went to my page and what I saw on my avatar shocked me! Why is this someone out there labelled me as "Spambuster"?? :S I don't really like to have a label on my avatar, so at least you could have asked me first about it :S

As my Uncle Ben has said, "With great power, comes great responsability". 

Please, with this label it means I have to keep coming here daily and check who is messing up by spamming and I can't do that :s

So hello! I am here again ^^

This time, I have a question for you all. Do you think you can handle it? It's a tough one, you have to think about it carefully before you give me your answer and if you are sure with it then you should be happy. Yup, it has a big effect.

Let me share with you why I am asking you this question. Sometimes we feel alone. Alone and lonely, like you don't have someone to rely on. Like no one is by your side or no one is there for you when you need them. Lonely in heart, is much worse than lonely in physical as you really are alone with no one is around. 

(Geez, I searched for a pic in google images for "lonely" and it shows too many depressing pics lol. I don't want to spend too much time picking on a pic there as so not to get infected with the "dark feeling" of being lonely lol)

This is what I meant with lonely in physical. Alone. Being alone like this is not always bad, because sometimes we need it. We need to take a break from everything: life, work, traffic jam, people, everything! Here you can ease your mind, relax and enjoy your time doing whatever you like.

Lonely in heart is like in the pic above. You are in the crowd, but somehow feeling lonely and don't feel the love from people around you nor feel being loved by them. Something is missing inside your heart and you want it to be filled. But how? A company of a friend or people you love might work. Well it work most of the time actually.

And here is the one million dollar question. Do you know people who love you and care for you? Do you know to whom you will go for when you are feeling lonely? Some people just don't realize that they are loved so they do not know where to go when they are feeling lonely.

So, can you answer my question?

Dear Mark, 

We had a talk about visiting Indonesia this morning, my time. Just do whatever you can do so you can come and visit us, Ananda and I here!!! I know it sounds like I am so desperate to meet you :D But I am! I always wanted to take you to our places where we use to hang out together. Well you know, none other than... Pizza Hut! :D :D Please don’t stop reading and puke :D

Listen, I have an idea. How about we all go together to Karimun Jawa? You know we had to cancel our plan to go there this June (sob), so it will be paid off if we go there. We will go there on our own, I mean without using travel agent service. Yup, we will go as backpackers! How cool is that? It will be an adventure! Ananda, Syubidupapap and Mark, The Adventurers.

Ananda has asked her friend about how to reach that island, where can we stay and to whom can we rent a boat to snorkel. Everything is set, no need to worry. We will go there by train from Jakarta to Semarang and then we’ll continue by boat, KMC Kartini. We will stay at Pak Anto’s inn and he will help us with the boat to snorkel because he knows where to rent it. He will take care of that. 

We will spend 4 days and 3 nights at that island. Apart from swimming, snorkeling, visiting small islands near that island by boat, having fish barbecue... You still remember another thing what we can do at that beautiful island, don’t you? :D Yup, we will swim with the sharks :D :D Let’s put a bet on who will pee on their pants first :D But we need to choose who will be the judge who’s in charge to check on the water if it has turned to warm or not. Hmm we’ll think about that later, hope someone will volunteer.

You don’t know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have. 

Familiar with that sentence? How strong do you think you are? 

Last week, we had guests at home. My old friends came to our house. We had a good time though their 20 months cute daughter couldn’t come. We talked, we laughed and we ate. It was lunch time so of course we ate. It was a memorable moment, but there was something that I will always remember. It was my dad. He has glaucoma since 2005. Had a surgery, but that doesn’t seem to be working for him and so he lives in the dark since then. 

Back at lunch time, my dad said, “Come on, eat a lot. I won’t notice.” 

Hearing that, we all laughed because obviously he wouldn’t notice. I was also laughing, but inside I realized how great my dad is. He accepted his condition and he can even make fun of it. It takes a very big heart to accept unwanted condition like that and I know it takes years to be like what he is now. I hope wish I can be like my dad. I hope wish I can laugh at whatever it is that made me cry. I hope wish I can also be as strong as he is. Well I have to be tough, so no one will bite another part of my head again :D

I live among the chatters and I spend most of my time with them on chatroom. I heard a lot about people got suspended or banned. There was a time in EC when suspension and banning happened a lot in a week more than any other week. Even I also heard that one person got banned for almost 6 or 7 times in only two days!! :D 

About this, we, chatters, once had a discussion on main about the reason behind of banning and suspension. Someone shared this link to us on main, but we have difficulties in having one perspective about one point in that link. That is:

Inappropriate wording in comments, blogs, chat etc (sexual, racial, abusive etc)

Being raised in an eastern country and western country sure make a big difference about this. Eastern people would not talk so freely about sexual things compare to western people. The same thing about some words. For some, saying bitch may mean nothing but an interjection, but for some that is a big insult.

In the end, we couldn't come to any conclusion about the limitation of what can be said or what cannot be said on main. This different perspective or opinion can cause trouble because it will create confusion. Some may think what they did was a normal thing to say and they don't deserve to be banned, but some may think the opposite. 

Back to the reason behind this banning and suspension system. At that time, someone offered another theory that made me realize and I agree with him. It is all personal, said that member. Yah, personal. If someone hate you, then he can report you and you have to be ready to say bye to EC.

So since it is all personal, if something happens and banned is my punishment, can I still have my blogs here? :D I know they might seem like a trash talk, but hey I never write something and now I wrote something in English so I want to keep them. :P

I actually wanted to write this blog as short as I can, but alas! I wrote too much. *_*

I know today is not a Thanksgiving Day, but don’t know why since morning I really want to say thank you to my friends to show them how much I am grateful for having them around me and for being there on my ups and downs.

There are names in my head while thinking about it such as Goker, Luty, Jason, Boom etc etc and also few new names, but then I am afraid the list will be too much and I will have too much to write :D

So I decided to shorten the list. Here it is.

Mr Postman

Before I say thanks to you Mr Postman, let me put a complaint to you! >:(

I have sent many postcards to my friends, but some of them still didn’t receive it until now! I am soooo disappointed because two of them are living in the same country as me! How come you missed my cards to deliver??? :'(

But no matter what, I still use your service :P I sent another postcards and also a package. I was a bit worried about the package because it was a VIP (very important package) and I wanted it to be delivered! I had the track ID and I always checked it every day since the day I gave it to you. One day, on the site to track the package, it was said that the package was not found!! Arghhh… I sent an email asking about that to you, but you didn’t reply. I felt hopeless… The next day I checked it again, it was still showing up the same thing. So I sent you another email… One night, I kept thinking about the package but I was too tired to checked it. The next day, I checked again your site to track my VIP andddd voila!! It showed that my VIP was in the destination country already! I was soooo happy! So I thought in a few more days the VIP would be at the right person.

Well later on, I have been informed that the VIP has been delivered and received the day before :P I guess that was why I kept thinking about it ^^ Well anyway, I was sooo happy.

I always come home late because I am stuck at office chatting :P And  on my way to the bust station there you are playing your saxophone. It was nice to hear it and yesterday you were playing a song from Whitney Houston :D Though I only passed you by, it was nice hearing you playing the music. It draws a smile on my face always :)

My mobile

I wished to have an android one, but my budget was limited so I decided to buy you hehe… I don’t know what is good from having an android one, but I want to have one :D Well anyway, your presence is sooo much appreciated. You can do everything I need from a mobile, surfing, playing music, radio, camera, recording a short movie. Thanks for all that, but mostly for the camera since I don’t have any pocket camera yet :D  The greatest thing of all is you were the first thing I bought with my own money! ^_^

Dear Yasemin,

After reading Naveed's blog, it made me more and more eager to write you though I have no idea what to write, but in the end I decided to open a blank page and start typing. Who knows ideas will push each other out of the way in their eagerness to get to this page.

Well, let's see what do I have in mind... What about valentine Valentine's Day? :S Don't lose your appetite to continue reading it please, though I don't hold out much hope you will enjoy it actually *_*

I never feel the need celebrating valentine of celebrating to celebrate Valentine's, but I am always happy when every time this day come comes because there will be a lot of romantic movies on TV, LOL. Such a couch potatoes I am. But but but guess what, two years ago there was something special happened.

That time I taught English for kids in an elementary school. It was awesome being surrounded by kids though they are such a bunch of noise heheh... I have my favorite kids there, but my biggest crush was a very cute little chubby guy whose name is Benito.

He used to come to my room on a break time just to talk to me about how much food he ate the day before and sometimes he gave me a cake or a candy. I enjoyed that moment a lot and always waiting for him to come just like a lover full of love waiting for her love to come.

One day in February 2010, he came to me and gave something in an envelope. I opened it in my room after he went back to his class, which is near my room. I was full of surprise and happiness knowing what was inside the envelope. It was funny too though. Even I am still laughing now remembering all that :D He wrote me a valentine Valentine's letter!! It was also so sweet. He didn't write much, just a sentence saying "Happy Valentine" and a drawing of himself and me.

Sadly, I am no longer his teacher now so I don't think I will get another letter from him... But you can write me instead of him, Yasemin. ;)

EC chat room has changed!!

I was shocked!! I was like this when I got in to main chat room today...

Actually everyone, not only me, we were all got shocked...

Then the next thing we did, After we were able to control ourself,  was trying to find out its feature and trying to get accustomed with that. It was fun to explore this new look. There are some useful things such as "Ignore" button so you can ignore people whom you do not wish to talk to on your private room.

Well though it has useful things, still there are pro's and con's. You cannot pleased everyone, right? Some like it and some don't. So controversy arouse lol (exaggerating a bit). 

Some said how they missed and loved the old EC chat room and some also think that the new one is ridiculous and gross. Anyway, today's hot topic was about its new look, the new look of EC chat room.

It’s the end of 2011. For me, it also means 12 months I have been a member of this site. There are a lot of things happened this year with so many memories that I won’t forget…

I registered as a member since January 2011 as Syubidupapap with a cake as my avatar because it was after my birthday and I was still celebrating it. Later on, I had to shorten my nickname into Syubi because of one reason.

I decided using my old name again because somehow I feel I have changed like I am not the same Syubidupapap when the first time I got in this site. I was more welcome to new people and cheerful in old days and I want to live the memories with using my old name.

Then I became a writer here. It might not be a big deal for some, but for me it is. Kind of an achievement for me because I wrote it in English. Hey, do check my blogs! :S Read this blog and let me know how you met your best friend here in EC :)

I learned a lot about people here in the chat line as I have never met people like them in any other chat line I am in. I have been a member in sharedtalk.com and the conversation there is always in a civilize manner (don’t ask me to define what civilize manner is :D ) though sometimes one or two trolls showed up. Here there are too many people with two faces, multiple ID’s, brutality, rude people, fights, arguments, and vulgar talk.

Somehow, with all the mess in the chat line, I managed to find some good buddies here. Yes, I got friends who have touched my heart and I will always keep them in my heart.

Not only I got friends, I also got love and a lover from this site. Oops, okay you caught me dating here. I know I broke the rules, but it wasn’t something I intended to do. It just happened. Love is just like an accident, it can happen anywhere anytime.

Champ once said to me that to love someone and to be loved by someone is a great feeling and he is right, it does feel great indeed… ♥

I have written a blog and dare EC member to leave this site and as everyone else’s answer, people I love is what made me hard to leave this site and it feels warm in my heart just to see their name and their conversation :)

We have gone through all this year and we have seen different colors every day. One day it was so bright with so many colors that make your heart shine, but when you can only see darkness around, do remember your colorful days and all your friends that you keep in your heart. They will always be with you no matter what as I will keep you in my heart honey :)

One of my dearest, Luty, said, “You can cry a lot, but notice you will survive”.

But heyyyyyy please don’t cry today, for it is my birthday :)

I wonder how often do you visit this site and wonder did you ever got bored with it? :D Just wondering, no need to reply harshly :P Well, I know some of you are an EC addict so it would be hard to leave this site, but really have you ever said that you will leave it for some time? I have heard people say that they don’t want to come back ever again, but still they are here. They are back, yes. Welcome to you dear friends who have left us, nice to know your well being after some time you leave. :)

As for me, several times I have said to myself that I will leave this site or at least to reduce my time here, but alas I am still here. I always come the next day after I said I won’t come back.

What about you? What is the longest time for you not visiting EC? What if we make a competition here? Who will be able to leave EC for the longest time? I will set the date today and when you give up, say it here the date you are back to this site. How is that sound? :D

I went to a book fair this evening after work to find books for my best friend’s daughter. It was not crowded, in fact a bit empty not much visitor because it was late like around 7.40pm . Plus maybe because people prefer to watch football game between Indonesia and LA Galaxy where David Beckham positively played in that match. FYI, the stadium is next to the building where book fair is held. Even people in the book fair watched the match on tv :D

So I straight went to find children’s books. Not much time for me since lots of stand was closed already or was ready to close.

There was something bother me when I was trying to find these books. The song. They played a song there. I loved it and it was beautiful, but so sad. I hardly tried to keep my tears stay where it should be lol. Like I need something else to make me cry today.

20.21pm I have bought the books and ready to go back home by bus and I still had to wait in a line. The line was not as much as office hours though. When I went back home, the match hasn’t finished yet and now 10.15pm I still didn’t know who have won :D

Wow! Today is Friendship day!!

To be honest, I never celebrate it. I did not even know we have this day. I read a blog about friendship day written by Rajesh. After reading that blog and a comment from Junko, that reminded me to a stupid mistake I have made which I could not forget hehe. It happened when I was in my first year at junior high school, here goes the story...

I like English so much since I was a kid. I always watched Sesame Street and took notes for every new word they gave in the video. I was so proud of my English and thought that I was better than others. I really did believe that :D

One day, my friend gave me a notebook and asked me to write personal information such as name, address, birth date, etc. Well, just imagine a CV :p We (little girls) used to do that. I do not know about kids nowadays, are they still doing that or not. Well, so I did it. I wrote my name, when I was born, where I live, hobbies... Some would also add a quote or verses and so did I. I copied a quote about friendship, but I wanted to make it different. I translated it to Indonesian. I was so proud of myself that time after I have done the translation. Reaaal proud :D :D

Years later, somehow, I realized I have made a mistake with that translation and I imagine my friend is laughing hard reading it now :D That if she still had that book. That time, everything seemed fine and correct for me. The translation, I meant. The first verse, the second and then the last one, but one word... After I know the meaning, that one word destroyed all my pride. :D :D :D Can you guess which word is that? I give you a picture as a clue :D

Oh, did some of you realize that we have an AutoRecover button here? I did not realize it after I lost my blog that I have written for hours >:( Argh! All of my effort is gone with a single click!! Chit Chat Challenge from Nadira reminded me that I have made a promise to write a blog about something going on in Main Chat. So, this is it. 

I have heard people complaining about Main Chat and how the atmosphere is not very well to discuss something or even just to have a simple and fun chit chat with friends. So one day, March 24^th, we made a survey in main chat and I was in charge to take notes heheh. Thank you for all respondents: Esra, Luty, Widya D’knowledge, Rauen and HH: Hisham Hussain. Did I forget to mention another name? Well, sorry :S I hope all of you still remember that day when we did this. So you know that I am not making it up :D

Most of the problems are:

Girls complaint that they do not want to have a private chat with boys because they just knew each other. Then boys got mad because he thought girls rejected him. Once there was a girl in main chat but she had to make her gender as male because she got harassment from boys.

how boys should address if girls do not like to accept the private chat at the first met

What makes the chat interesting for you?
Mmm… having something new to learn! A fight! It is always interesting to chat with an intelligent person no matter he is a girl or a boy.

Ruuuuuuude people!
If the other person seems to not be responding.
For me, I stop talking to someone if he is impolite or he said he loves me!!!!!!
I think rudeness and if I think he /she is lying. 

It is because of long relationship and then some disputes because too much talking causes some difference also. Then it goes fed off with the time but it does not meant they become enemy.

I love main.
Interact with many people here, knowing them and getting knowledge and sharing things etc.

No, it is not a problem.

Hmm... I cannot stick to any particular ambience, but we need varieties every time.
Well earlier we used to discuss controversial topic, not much flirting. And earlier I did not see anyone coming here for girls.

How do you first get attracted to chat with someone more intensely?
Appearances!!!!!!!!!!!!

May be esthetic part. If he/she looks more cultural look. I get attracted, yes.
For me, the open and broad talks.

For men who want to make relations: that will be the picture.
As for me... the character is more important than an appearance.
For those who want to learn English that will be the country.
Because  everybody more likes to chat with cheerful guys.

Girls are willing to chat with boys or girls and that is because they love to make friends.
They find it interesting to know something that they do not know. They will stop chatting when they found that their chat partner is a rude person, a liar or maybe busy and they are not responding

Well, actually I was also thinking of writing about my meeting with a friend on her wedding day that I knew from an exchange language site. We finally met after about eight months chatting and texting. She and I are member of this site too. But nah, I am too lazy now ^^

Imposters - Fake ID

Who are you?

I know some people are hiding their identity on the internet and I can take that. They do it maybe for some reason such as safety or anything else and each has their own reason. But when it comes to friends, usually they open their self a bit and tell their name, give a bit of information about who he/she is, or any kind of infos to help their friends to get to know her/him better. And I guess that is what they should do.

The reality, what I've found in this site is really.. annoying and tiring. I've met people who are not only trying to hide their identity, some of them are even trying to be someone else by changing their name and try to be the clone of EC member with the exactly same name and profile picture. These imposters are even worst than what I have said earlier. They are trying to hide their identity and be another person who they are not and made fool of others. I repeat: made fool of others because this person lets people assume that they are talking to A when they are actually having a conversation with B.

It seems having two, three or maybe four ID's or accounts is something usual here. I started getting used to it when people start questioning who is A and if A = B. So I assumed that some people have more than one account. That is also what happened to me when I got in to EC chat room for the first time in my life. Some of the members were very curious and kept asking me about who I am and they forced me to admit that I am one of their friends who do undercover with another account and nickname. I was having a hard time to making them believe that I am not their friends and that I was new in this site.

After having such experience like this for days in a row, I really am tired. Can't you just stick to one ID and be who you are? Please stop making fool of others especially to those who you considered as a friend and those who considered you as a friend.

I wonder if any EC member have the same experience as mine. How do you deal with these imposters and maybe you have friends who have more than one account here and they make you guess who he/she is all the time with their new ID. Or.. maybe you are the one who have more than one account? Please share why are the reason. Anyway, is there any solution to reduce the number of these imposters? :S

These are 7 golden rules that my friend's have and thanks God he is so kind to let me share his rules to others. How I love him so much for letting me share it. These rules are very useful to everyone's life I guess.

I agree to all this rules, but about rule number 2... Do not you think at least we have to be open to the person who likes us though they do not ask about whom we are? I consider 'the person' in this line as a friend. I got the point from this rule but is not it better to explain yourself a bit and let others know you better? Well, someone should know their friends right?

So far, I keep reminding myself to rule number 1 that relationships work best when it is balanced and also rule number 3 and 4. About rule number 4, hmm.. that is really hard to do. You cannot think very well when you just woke up, can you? :D

How about you? Tell me which rules you like the most and why. I would love to know. I hope these rules can brightened our mind and then we can move forward to a better life and personality :)

What makes you keep coming back to EC though bad people with bad attitude and narrow minded person are also here to 'welcome you' especially people on main chat?

I read a blog which consist about a list why people love EC and I have to say sorry for those list are not one of my reason to keep coming back to this site. Not at all. It is truly not because I wanted to learn English nor because this site is entertaining, self-motivating, no. Just no.

I left EC once, but later on I decided to came back after having a lot of time thinking the good and bad side of my decision. When I officially left EC, the first people I knew was asking me, well forcing actually, to come back. I was touched with what they did. They gave me the feeling as if I am special and precious to be friends with. What a wonderful feeling that was when your presence is needed and your absence is noticed.

But what made me made up my mind finally and then clicked the sign up button again was because the friendship you have here. I can see that you treasure your friends and you are all so close to each others no matter how far you are. You care for them. That touched my deepest heart. I noticed all that from the blogs you wrote here and the comments you gave to others. It gave me warm feeling after reading it, not to mention the jealousy of your friendship.

I read a blog about Nadiyah who has just received a letter (not email) from Algeria and how she was so happy and appreciate the letter. I also read Notear's blog about how she was worried about Walid, an Egyptian, during the revolution in Egypt. You are all so positive and welcome and care for each other even to a new member.

And again, few days ago, I read another blog about someone who is missing her friend. After everyone was wondering and missing Michelle Yang, now everyone started to wonder where is Bianca. I read these blogs with jealousy and especially for the last blog, I read it with teary eyes because of those nice comments and memories from Q (♂), Vahid and all who knows Bianca. I am so jealous for their friendship. As Vahid, I am addicted to friends too. I wish I can have what you all have and all I have to do now is to find my own circle of friends.

Now you know my reason for keep coming back to EC.
