As the topic says, I am going to write a tip about translating the pronoun in English to Chinese properly. Here is an example sentence: "The poems really come to life when they are recited." It is clear to read it in English. We all know that the function of the pronoun is to replace a repeat ed noun. The pronoun "they" in the sentence refers to "poems". But in Chinese, we usually use "poems" directly instead of "they". So the formal translation of the Chinese version is "当人们朗诵诗歌的时候,诗歌才真正活起来。"
