Writing challenge: Blog with or without picture

Some members here often have a picture or some pictures included in their blogs.

A blog with a picture can be so vivid or clourful, but too many pictures/photos in a blog isn't a good idea, and you should make sure you're allowed to use those pictures. Here's some tips in case you want to use pictures in your blog:

Do not use a lot of pictures in a blog

It can be so distracting if you use so many pictures in a blog, and it can also hamper the reading. Using one or a couple of pictures a time if you really want to use some in your blog.

Use pictures which you have a right to use

It's advised to use pictures or photos of your own or you took. Sometimes it may seem you can download or copy some pictures freely from the Internet, but it doesn't mean you can use them freely - you should make sure you don't use them illegally. Don't plagiarize. When I read a blog with pictures, I'll make sure the blogger is allowed to use the pictures.

I rarely add picture on blog whether taken from other side or by myself. I join my ec to be a writer nor a photographer. Therefore, I focus on writing and try to explain without using pic. Besides, I am really incompetent to capture photo perfectly nor I am interested in improving it. So, too much attention toward photography on an English learning site is really out of my sense. It seems like a childish.

I always use quotes pictures on my blog and I made it sure that it's related to the topic I posted.

It is very important protect copyrights in times of Web. Remember after,if you copy a picture without permission you're doing something that is not right. So, pay attention to this next time you use picture this way!

Echo you, Expector! Downloading copied photos from the Internet easily doesn't mean it is lawful all the time. I also hope your blog could help our members think twice before using those pictures in their blog or our EC gallery. Thank you for your effort.

Yes, it's not always so easy to choose an appropriate picture. If you're not sure, don't use any.

@Saba No, not unless you have permission from the photographer (or if it is in the public domain). If you use a Creative Commons pic, be sure to check how to credit the photographer.
