Song number 1: What a wonderful world

Hello,

Dear friends,

This week's song is "What a wonderful world" sang by Michael Buble. Each week, one song would be introduced and whoever likes to challenge himself or herself can sing it and post his or her recordings on the comment section. Then, At the end of the month, the winner is the person who sang more songs.

Take care and have fun!

  • ohhhhhh! I see! I guess it's probably because of Internet speed , this happens. You know better about it. Ohhhh! I'm so sorry to hear that. I'll think what other thing we can do. Another way is if you can find its mp3, then when you record your voice, you must not have any problem. But, I can't put mp3 here because of copyrights and it would be plagiarism. I hope you can find it.

I did nothing! It's great to be here. Thanks a lot!

  • Hi,

    Dear Modaway,

Thanks a lotttt for your encouraging words. So nice of you! of course, I can tell you how to do it. In fact, I don't record any songs. What I do is that when I'm singing, I play the song and sing along with it simultaneously while I'm recording my voice. But, before that, I practice with the song so that I can accompany the singer. I hope my explanation is clear. If not, please let me know. Then, I explain again.

  • Hi,
This is my recording. Please turn up the volume , my voice is recorded so low. Thanks a lot for listening in advance.

    Have fun!

  • Fantastic! wow! I'm so impressed by your pace. You told me yesterday you are going to practice and today, you did it! Wow! Awesome! Clap clap clap!

  • Dear nafis, what a great challenge! I love Michael Buble's voice and this song with its wonderful lyrics is so great. But about my recording sound, ummm I'm not sure about it cuz I don't have a good voice and my Engish accent is poor as well. So, what can I do now??? :-(

    • Dear Fahime, I'm so glad you like the song. Dear Fahime, I also don't have a proper voice for singing and indeed, we don't sing to show our singing ability. We sing for learning English. Don't worry about your accent because you are supposed to imitate Michael Buble in pronouncing the words. Just imitate that. Generally speaking, accent isn't that much important as long as you are clear and people understand you. You should look like yourself not someone else. So, don't worry at all. Just give it a try and you will be amazed how you will be improved faster! And, you will enjoy it too. Thanks a lot for your nice and kind comment.

  • Hi, Nafis!

What a coincidence! I mean the choice of the song! Not long ago I stumbled upon this song and was enchanted by it! So positive and melodious.... Only the singer was Louis Armstrong ( he was the first who recorded this song in 1967). I saved the link and even was going to write some blog connected with the song. But don't have time to develop the idea. So I'm very glad to see that you've offered the song for singing! Unfortunately my singing abilities aren't good. I'd like to upload the song with Louis Armstrong. Hope you don't mind. The members will compare to variants of singing:

    • Sweet Galina, wow! It's so nice to see you here and please please don't say that you can't sing. We don't practice our singing ability. We just want to learn English so it's not about singing it's about learning English. So, please please join us!

I'm so glad you like the song and I don't get surprised if you tell me you like it because usually I like my friends' songs and they like my songs. That's why we are friends. Thankssss a lot for putting the video of the song. It's really great to know the original song with the original singer. Actually, I like your video more than Michael Buble. Thanks a lot. And, thanks for telling the history behind the song.

      Big hugs!
