Evangelina's Photo Challenge: My library

This traditional book rental store is something like my library where I am used to renting weekly magazines and sometimes novels. Reading eBook is easy and convenient nowadays, however reading paper books still has its unique charm, just like Eva said. One of the benefits from reading paper books for me is to help memorize books content much longer than eBooks. I wonder if any of you have the same feeling. :)

  • Yeah, Grace. I like the way you took the picture. It's interesting to see. :d I sometimes do that, too, when no much people around. Sometimes, I don't care. LOL...

Seems an ant was afraid of a heap of books. :D

  • @Roman  True! That would be embarrassed if being caught! ><"

@Onee   Me too! I did print it first, but I'd print with recycling papers that were already printed on one side. By doing so, it would help lower the guilt trip.  :P

I just squatted down to take the photo. Does it look like an ant looking up from the ground? lol

@ Alia  Yeah, eBook or paper book can both bring to us information, yet the paper one seems that you could interact with the author and feel paper's temperature easily while turning over and reading on.

  • Dear Grace,

I can hardly read books nowadays. Lack of desire, too. My head is full enough with school books. lol..

But, YES. I still like books rather than eBooks. When I find good eBook, I will print it first, not kind with environment somehow. ^^

Btw, I wonder how you took this pic. Please be careful that the books would fall. OMG. :D

  • :) Or I hope they will not be caught:)
  • @Roman   Good question! I did ask for permission before I took photos for sure! The library in my city forbids taking any pictures inside, that's why I changed to the rental book store. I guess this might happen the same in other places. Hope our members who would like to join the challenge ask for permission before taking photos.  Thank you for the reminder, Roman!

  • @Eva   Thank you for the lovely comment. Exactly, the stores like this provides not only a place where people can rent books but also for the ones who may need a place to release stress from work, etc. It doubles as many functions somehow.

  • Hi Grace! Indeed beautiful place! I like both, eBooks and paper books, but I have never listened to audiobook. So I don't know for sure. But I think the same as you... And even more. If we are reading, we can make the voice of each character special like we want or like we imagine it... We can make it alive! Thank you for sharing this picture! Btw, did you ask for permission or just made this picture without asking?:)

  • Hello Grace,

    Just marvelous :) Nice share.

This looks like something equal to Alice in wonderland. I can imagine walking around looking for something special to read.

It looks like a very interesting place, the atmosphere seems so special in a positive way.

In think it must be different from person to person how to memorize the content of a book, though I agree, it is just a special feeling to read a book in paper version, nothing can beat that.

Thank you so much, Grace, I am so happy to see you here and that you felt like participating :)
