  • Dear Mr. Josef,

There was something about this ‘Metallic Gold’ that intrigued me ever since we talked about it three weeks ago! I was always on the lookout, as a matter of fact, for a web page where this colour has been used. To my utter amazement I stumbled upon one such page just now. I found the temptation to create something using the colour too hard to resist. However, the truth is this colour stands out well against a black background rather than a white one.

This message is typed straight on this space; it’s not a screenshot! What you see below is a screenshot. Well! Thank you, Sir!

    Warm regards,

  • Thanks Gabriel. The metallic colours like gold are very difficult to mimic. The colour you found 147, 138, 83 works really well. I will check the hex value for it.

    Dear Mr Josef,

How are you? Hope you are doing fine.

Here’s some info about how I came up with that ‘gold’ colour effect. I typed the text on a Word document and changed the default colour (black) to ‘Tan’ – darker by 50%, a preset colour found in the colour palette. The RGB colour code for this is: 147, 138, 83

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to get the ‘Hex Colour Code’ for it. However, upon searching the Net, I found some colours which look like ‘gold’ to my eyes. Please refer to the below list for the codes and their corresponding colour samples.

    Thank you, sir!

P.S. This is the link to the web page where I took the codes and samples from:
