Toothy Fruity - What's your favorite fruit?

What comes out in your head when you read the word fruit? A lot actually right? Fruits come in different shapes, sizes, smells, and tastes. But when you say fruits, there are nutritional and health benefits that are attached to it.

Experts say that eating fruits like pineapple, banana, apple, pomegranate, and grapes, helps decrease the bad cholesterol in our body and prevents us from acquiring diabetes. If I'm not mistaken, Diabetes is the second leading causes of death in the world. Eating ripe papaya has a lot of benefits too. It actually improves our metabolism and helps in maintaining the normal level of blood pressure. Citric fruits such as orange, pomelo, and lemon have a cleansing effect on our skin. Scientists say that, we can achieve a glowing and healthier skin if we include those fruits in our diet.

Fruits also serve as dessert to some people. Perfect to munch on during morning, lunch, and even dinner. People who are vegetarian or vegan include fruits into their diet. But, I'm not urging you to be a vegan. I believe, it is still important to eat the right food and with a balanced diet. I also think that, if we incorporate vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish in our daily diet, then we can achieve a healthy body and mind. And of course, a chance to live longer too!

Always remember, no matter what food we eat, please consider its health benefits. It's also important to know where our foods come from and if they are properly prepared or stored.

So what's your favorite fruit? And why do you like it? This blog will be another great opportunity to learn something from you. I'll be glad to read your comments too. : )

  • Hi Galina,

Thank you very much for sharing your favorite fruits and for taking a time in reading this blog post. I really liked the rainbow fruits and the interpretations in it! Sounds a great reminder to eat fruits everyday. Live healthy as nutritionists always say. It's no wonder you have a blooming complexion because you like to eat healthy snacks. Have a great weekend, dear friend.

By the way, I like apples too! : )

  • Hello, Robbie!

Now I have some free time, so I’ve looked through  your blog post about fruits. It attracts attention because of its colourful picture on your page. When I saw it I immediately remembered some interesting material about rainbow of fruit. It means that fruits of different colours are useful for us, but in a different way.

Red fruits get us moving, give us extra boost and keep us active for longer.

Orange fruits are brain food. They improve our power of concentration. They also contain the vitamin C, that helps our body fight off infections.

Yellow fruits make us more optimistic and help us to stay happy ( like hearing good jokes).

Green fruits help us to relax, calm ourselves down and keep our emotions under controle.

Blue fruits are soothing, both emotionally and physically, and prepare us for good night’s rest.

Purple fruits make  us more creative and keep us looking young.

So, we should eat a rainbow of colourful fruits to boost our health.

Now about my favourite fruit…..I like practically all of them, but more often I eat apples because they are native Russian fruits and are grown in all parts of Russia. They’re juicy, tasty and useful for health.

  • Thanks Rocio, for liking this blog. : )

  • Thank you very much Sweety, for taking the time to respond on this blog. You're right, because of our friend Zul, I got the chance to be familiar with the dragon fruit. The one I ate awhile ago was tasteless, so I mixed it with cereals which tasted heavenly he he he.....

  • Thanks Valentine, for the information. At least now I have an idea what nectarine looks like. : )

  • Hi Manal,

Wow, love to hear that garden of fruits! I'm curious about persimmons though. Almonds are good too, good for the heart! Thanks for comment. Stay healthy..... : )

  • That's me again! Nectarine is like a peach with smooth skin, but as for me, more sweet and delicious than a peach.
