He ran down the stairs and each of his steps was making a loud noise. While runing he was repeating one phrase in his mind "Let me be there in time!". Actually in the eleven-story house there was an elevator, but he wanted to save more time. And he did it, because when he began to descend, elevator's cabin was right on the first floor.

Old door opened with a knock and almost broke up, when he pushed it, while running out of the building. The place of his appointment was close, just 400-600 meters from the building. The building on the roof of which, 2 minutes ago, he stood and tried to make the last breath...

It was early morning - 05:00-06:00 am o'clock, Riq stood on the roof of unknown eleven-story building and thought:

"How I came to this...? Being kid I thought that I will find my love and good job, and my life will be long and happy. Yeah, long... So long like this street right infront of my eyes? Or so long like a horizon line? I never was as close to death as now... Just one step and I will say "Hi death". And everything will be over."

Enrique left alone 30 years old man in this world. He lost his job yesterday and gave up. Standing on the roof he recalled that many years ago, friends used to call him "The Star", because of his positive thinking and inspirational confidence. While playing they used to say "I have made a wish, fall down please, so that it will come true!" He smiled. "Where have you all gone? The Star is going to fall but there is nobody to make a wish now". After short pause he looked at the buildings around and said:

"I could be the greatest sportsman! Because I like sport and my body likes it even more than me! I could be the greatest artist! Because I am the only one who can see true beauty of simple things such as rain drop at the window and extraordinary charm of the sunset! I could be the number one musician or dancer. Because I feel the music and I fight with my body, which wants to dance every time when I hear amazing melody. I could be anyone, I could do something good for humanity. But I chose wrong way..."

He waited one or two minutes and said again with calm and cool voice "Right now, before my step into nowhere, I am asking: Is there still left any reason not to do that?!" And only the cruel silence answered him... He repeated in his mind "I could...", made one deep breath and got ready...

But suddenly, he lifted his left arm to scratch his head and looked at it. In that moment he noticed that he have never been considering his hands before. He was looking at his hands infront of his eyes and thought "These hands will never move anymore, these fingers will never bend anymore". And in the moment when he bent his fingers, he noticed that something wrong was going on behind them. Not so far away, there below, Riq saw three persons, that were pulling a girl in a dark lane...

Suddenly girl's shout pierced the morning silence and Riq understood that they are close, right behind the corner of building. While running, his inner voice said "Hold on, girl. The Star is almost here! The wishes of the bad guys will be not fulfilled!"

All the freaks were turned face to her, so Riq attacked almost unexpectedly, throwing one of them down to the ground, by powerful kick of right leg. Two others recoiled for one or two seconds. He didn't lose this chance and attacked left one with right hook, evading a counter strike. He increased the distance between him and right offender by this attack.

Enrique didn't think why is he acting like this, he didn't even think why is he trying to save this girl. One thing he knew for sure, that he must stop them right now! He was that type of person, that could deal with heartache, when hearing about horrible happenings to people or animals alike. But he wasn't able to turn away when he saw it happen in front of him.

Left offender fell onto the trash can with a loud "BANG" and Riq turned back to deal with right one, but it was to late to avoid his attack. It seemed The Star is going to fall down. But in the last moment, villain got hooked by girls leg and fell right beneath Enrique's legs. He kicked this villain and immediately swiched to left one, who already took a knife from his poket.

At the level of instinct Riq jumped so close to that offender as it was possible, and only after frontal attack with his head in the nose of villain he remembered why he jumped close to him. Because knife is not so dangerous in VERY short distance, especially when offender makes waving attack. It is easy to block enemy's hand in close distance.

Riq didn't like to fight, although he was really good in fights. Not because of the years of training Karate and strong, trained body, but because he just knew how to fight. Many times while walking or just when it was boring, The Star was shining in his imagination like the blinking light rays on waving surface of calm sea. In this manner he was imagining the fights with real people that was bigger and stronger than him. And ofcourse he always won there...

And right now, he won against them because he just knew that he was able do that... Or he was just fool... 

While lying on the ground, third offender, who was the first target of The Star picked up the knife. He got up. Almost at random he throwed the knife in Riq's direction and fell down because of dizziness after kicking his head. The knife stuck on the right side of Enrique's stomach, but he didn't feel the pain because of adrenaline in his veins. First of all, he took care of the end of the battle, by tying freaks with straps from their trousers and shoe laces .

Riq asked if the girl is ok and pleased her to call the police. He walked away at fast pace, despite of girls entreaty to stay. She was barely twenty, so Riq knew that she will be ok. While walking he pulled out a knife and threw it in a trash can. The wound was not deep but bleeding.

It was early morning and the sunrise was about to start. Bleeding Star stood on the roof of eleven-story building and this time he even didn't want to think about anything, didn't want to say anything. He just got ready, looked at the sunrise, made deep breath and...

"Wait!" kind female voice sounded from behind. Riq turned back and in the light rays of the sunrise he saw the Angel itself.

The world is unfair but life happens. He saved her and she saved him...
