Whenever you experience anything unpleasant in your life, don't take it serious as seriousness will eat your whole body gradually. How can you come it over? Just share it in a funny way with your friends and see how better you feel after that. I give you an example here. I hope you will like it, and if it brings a smile on your face, I presume my effort has borne fruits.

Once upon a time, an uninvited guest paid his kind visit at my poor home. The guest whom you never host nor you wished to see him again. The guest, who loves coming into your home silently at night and never disturbs you, but you are severely annoyed after his silent visit. The guest, who needs no introduction, yet I feel my moral duty to let you know this respectable guest. yes! you got right! His name is "thief." (^_^) So, first of all, let me express my gratitude to him from the bottom of my heart for his precious time he spent at my house. As thief  folks always choose a house of affluent people to visit, hence from this aspect,  his visit at my poor house was not less than a pride for me and made me feel as if I were also a well-to-do. Thank you so much, dear thief, for paying me GREAT HONOUR and giving me such a nice feeling (^_^)

It was nearly midnight when all family members were in a deep asleep. All rooms were locked, but a window of my study room was mistakenly left open, through which he easily sneaked my study room. There was a bookshelf having more  than 100 precious books in that room. I am sure he must have made all his possible efforts to unlock the other doors. Perhaps, he didn't know that they weren't cheap locks, which could easily be unlocked or broken. When the dear thief found nothing to steal, he picked all my books and went out surreptitiously as if they were his uncle’s property. Next day when I found no books in the bookshelf, I  was  shocked.  I asked everyone at home, but  no one knew when and who stole them. However, my neighbour told me that he had seen someone entering my home through this window at midnight. I, at once, got angry with him and asked why he hadn't informed me at that time, but it was useless to cry over split milk.

Here, I would like to salute you, dear thief. Because, over a long period I have gradually accumulated these books, of which you have  been the owner within the shortest time with scant labour. How genius you are, aren’t you? (^_^) I felt so sad that you went back from my home without having anything, but you didn’t give me a chance. It is so bad, isn't it? If you just awoke me up for five minutes, you couldn't imagine, how generously I would treat you and prove you how hospitable person I was!. (^_^)

Anyway, I can repurchase all those books, but I am worried about notebooks, in which I  noted down interesting memories, vocabulary and the most useful material, that always requires whenever I have to appear in written test or interview or help learners. So, you can say that it is my irreparable loss.

May Allah guide him to the straight path! Ameen!

Thank you all in advance

  • Oh... I am so sorry about your books... In your place i would cry till now!

  • Thank for condoling though tears dropped over loss of books have been dried.

Yes, you are probably right to some extent as I am surrounded by many jealous people around me who are always with me like the shade of mine. Maybe he was one of them :)

The same thing has happened with many times and fortunately lost things returned with blessing. I tell you one story. I dropped my cellphone nearest to home. I came back just five minutes later but in the meanwhile someone already picked it up. I asked the shopkeeper and those who were standing there. No one gave satisfactory reply. However, teenagers gathered in search of my cell phone. It was isha prayer I went mosque convincing myself that it was useless to cry over spilt milk. After two hours found the person who picked it. He gave it back to them with the promise that his name was not disclosed. They agreed. Because he wasn't a thief. I thanked Allah Almighty and them all. I was not worried about cell phone but photos of my family, contact numbers. When I switch on my cell phone I received miscall notifications which proved that he didn't steal anything. Photos were in phone memory.

Yes, you are right. Everything that we claim belongs to Allah and He has the fullest right to take them back from us whenever and whatever He wants. However most of the things we lost due to our negligence that we shouldn't blame on Him.

    You said
If I were that thief, I would steal all your books. Let's suppose, you were a thief, in order to steal books you had to come at my home at midnight. I am sure you, as a lady, would never do that lol.

Thank you so much for adding interesting comments.
  • I know how did you feel. I guess, those books were the most valuable treasure you had, right? I'm really sorry to hear that.

One thing I can presume here.....I guess, he was really jealous with your brain. So, he stole your most valuable treasure.lol

You're right that we should always smile after the unpleasant moment. I do too when I lost my wallet. Then, I got a calm from there. Fortunately, it came back after a week. :)

May Allah return your memories that you forgot from those books. We should always ready to lose it all, 'cos it's only Allah's.

If I was that thief, I would steal all your books. Then, sell them except your notebooks. Because it's a scarce book. I can't buy in any bookshop.lol I was really curious with your wits.lol

Thanks for sharing this with a beautiful writing! ^^

  • Wow!!!!!! What a style of admiring humble writing of incompetent writer :) Professor of fun lol don't you think you gave me title more than I deserve ?

I noted your nice advice. When I have more than 2 note books, I will use them (note books) as pillow :)
Thank you so much for visiting and leaving wonderful comments here!
  •      Wow!!!!! My friend you have a great ability to express your problems in funny way. Anyway my friend, If I was the thief, I will return all your books except your notebook. Not to know how you think or how you can master your words or how you can get over your problems successfully or what kind of dreams you hold in your head or what kind of books you like to read or how you invest your time or..........or..............etc.  but only to teach you a lesson; do not sleep without putting your notebook under your pillow because, it is your soul mate, as a writer. My friend, how you sleep without your soul mate????????? God bless you my friend.

Note ; allow me my friend to call you A professor of fun.

  • Sir Bob,
    Wow great comments as always.
To be honest to God, I tell you that one day I, by chance, visited place, where old / used books are sold. While searching the best books, I had a look at one of my text books. I picked it up to see it I was astonished to see my name was written on the topic of first page of that book as I wrote my name on each book. I, at once, asked book seller from where he purchased it. He said he had no written record of book sellers to him. He further said anyone could sell him books without any identify. At least, it proves he was stupid as you said.

Thank you so much sir for sharing your opinion
  • I hope that your best books return and the others stay away so you have room to collect more of the best.  As for the notebooks, this person may be very ignorant or very smart.

Maybe he will read and learn from them or maybe he was so stupid he thought he could sell them along with the books. I wonder if there is a used book store that buys and re-sells books?

The third possibility is the need for fuel for the cooking fire.  I truly hope the notebooks weren't brought home for kindling.

  • Sima sis
Yeah, who knows what was his real object? But we found no such clues by which we couid ascertain that thief is not regular book stealer.

Thank you you so much for leaving here your comments
  • Maybe he just wanted to steal your book ,who knows that bro :P?

  • B_52, ( there were some typos in reply to I corrected them)

Maybe the thief don't like books. But all fingers are not same. There are some thiefs, who like books so much, but don't like to buy from their own pocket money.

I pray you may be fluent in English even more than the english :)

Thank you so much for sharing your opinion. I am so happy to know that you like it:)
