~ English is easy if you follow few simple steps ~

Hello friends/Club members/...,

I want to improve my English speaking / I want to improve my writing skills / I am looking for a learning partner / I can't speak in public / I can't speak English with confidence even I attended highly paid English classes / My English is very poor. Are you wondering who is saying these things?

Thousands of English learners. Yes! You can hear these kinds of messages from thousands of ESL learners, even though there are many resources to improve English skills free of cost, with fun, and without giving any extra time. Why? Why are learners still having problems in their English learning journey?

In my point of view, they are: not following any suitable resources, not taking English as a daily activity, working with no goal, afraid of making mistakes, and she/he is serious, but getting diverted.

You can help them. Yes, if you have crossed all these questions, then you may not help all of them, but few of them for sure. And, there is no doubt that you will get highly paid for it by their happiness and improvement. Getting paid by "seeing someone happy" is the best earning in our accounts; I hope, you agree with me on this point.:) Now, I am more than sure that if you have known, how you can improve all your English skills at EnglishClub then you must have considered yourself lucky to become a part of EnglishClub. We EC members use many selective resources for improving our English skills; we are under the care of expert teachers and advanced learners from around the world, and this is what makes this place unique on cloud. Learners and teachers at EC always bring many fun activities to improve our English skills and learners find themselves improving a lot with fun. We, learners even don't know when and how we improved our skills in a very short time, without having any burden of class homework. Congratulations to all EC members for being on the  right English network. If you are reading this blog and haven't found EC as helpful as I am saying then EC Moderators are always there to guide you, don't hesitate to drop any of your queries on their wall, they are very helpful, friendly and always ready to help you; you can also drop your queries on STAR members' walls or any active members' walls, they are very familiar with the uses of EnglishClub and will guide you for sure.

Now, as in the blog title "Messages For ESL Learners By EnglishClub Members" my purposes of this blog are, being a part of this motivational website and improving our English skills without any difficulty and with fun, give "ESL learners of the world" our English messages to make English learning fun and easy, as we have already made.

Note: Please, don't be in a hurry. Take time to prepare your message then post. Post your message in the comment box of this blog or make your own blog with the title: [Your name 's] English message for ESL learners of the world:

Sharing is caring: your one share can show many ESL learners the right way to improve their English.

Thank You!

Rajesh's English message for ESL learners of the world:

1. Right choice of resources: In my point of view, this is the most important step for online ESL learners. We all know that Internet is a store house of resources, there are thousands of English learning websites, ESL Articles, blogs and ESL material websites. It's worth using all of them, but selecting some and following them will save your time. This will help you to achieve your goal easily, and will never let you feel something, like, this place is not for you or you can't improve your English easily. As I see, this step is important for all learners, but very important for beginners.

2. Making an English learning goal: making goals and moving with it is one of the key to achieve success not only in learning, but all walks of our life, thus, it's very very important to make an English learning goal to guarantee success. In my perspective, having no goals in life will lead you nowhere.

3. Take English as an activity: it happens mostly with the offline learners; they go deeply through grammar, go through spoken English books, read newspapers and so on. While doing all these only one thing runs on learners mind is that, I am learning English, and I will speak English after all. It's necessary to learn grammar and all these, but if you do these activities like you did when you were at school then it may disappoint you. Yes! It may disappoint you when you don't succeed in your journey, hence, take it as an activity. That means make English part of your daily life.

4. Make your own effort: most of us tell that we are unable to find anyone willing to speak with us in English, but this is not necessary. It has already been proved that students can master English without having a single English-speaking friend or co-worker. If you are really interested and determined to learn, you will do so, and you will not make the lack of English-speaking friends an excuse! Make your effort the first priority, and that won't let you complain the same.

Be true with the self and you will find many other ways for improving yourself.

All in one: Right selection of resources, making an English learning goal, and being true with the self will play a vital role in improving your English skills.

Announcement: I will post the resources I use for improving my English skills, detailed of all above four points, and updated version of "My Learning English Journey" in my coming blogs.

Happy learning!

- Rajesh

  • Thank you!

  • so great, thank you Rajesh

  • It's my pleasure, Komala! :-)

  • Thanks for this information!

  • Dearest teacher Galina,

Thank you so much for all your encouraging words, this is what makes me keep sharing the ideas come in my mind. Thank you! And, I am so glad that you shared it with your students.

It's true that listening is very important to improve our speaking skills. Time is passing and I am learning many new things each day, and now, I am giving more time in reading and listening because I want to improve my writing and speaking skills, and only reading and listening more  can help me with them.

Thank you again, and have peaceful time always!

  • It's a wonderful blog, Rajesh, very helpful, practical and encouraging! Your  'English message for ESL learners of the world' is a valuable guide for all learners. Sorry, I haven't told you that I looked through your blog about a week ago and found it so helpful that I printed it and gave my students just to show them the ways to learn a language in a proper way. Now it's the beginning of the school year here in Russia so I always try to give my students some encouraging information about learning English in the 21st century at our first classes. So you posted your blog, Rajesh, just in the right time for me! Sorry for not commenting it, I was going to do it in the nearest time.

I completely agree with all the steps that you suggest. And I like your idea of using different resources on the Internet. I always tell my students that a teacher can only guide you, direct you, explain smth and so on but then you should practice it on your own using Internet as it's a splendid tool for learning a foreign language.

And the first thing that a learner should do is LISTENING a lot, if he wants to improve his/her spoken skills. A learner should do it every day! Only after a lot of listening he should start speaking. You're absolutely right that you should make English a part of your daily life!

    Thanks for the great blog!

  • thank you ever so much Rajesh ; I 'm very moved but let's leave aside compliments

I suggest that you give yours
how come you 've nothing to tell us as should be
That remark is meant for all of you.

The ' esl teacher ' blog is a nice opportunity to raise our ' English writing ability'
    by comparing different ideas.

Teacher please urge your members to argue.

I love this website but about every where the bloggers are congratulated

but no controversy whatsoever is engaged.

Compose your thoughts friends to write something interesting in English.
get down to work rather than whip off greeting.

    Come along friends!
Use the words you have learnt and show your knowledge by applying you before
sending a long post to share your more skilled.

I say that for you to forge ahead.
    It all happens here.
Do you realize the nice opportunity of writing your Engllish before an ' esl teacher eyes '.
    let's enjoy it.
Learners there belong to  this site to forge ahead, don't they to?

Hoping to convince, thank you for any correction to teacher.
    Happy practicing.

  • Thank you for reading and giving your view, dear Christian! Have beautiful time!

  • mitran don't think so.
Dil you read what I expressed to practise with natives or fluents persons?
Never speak about your learning and your weak spots either.
Don't put the cart before the horse.
    Proceed step by step.
You're on a nice website to move forward and on a not less amazing blog.
Why do you write ' I wanna '
To my mind, fluent writers or speakers can do so but not learners.
    Whisp
    ' u ' ' u r' ' wanna ' ' gonna ' and even ' thanks ' instead of ' thank you '
is not the best way for you to improve your English writing ability, you know.
    Also, we're writing to a teacher;
This work is not good enough for him to give you a good mark.
It's important for writing out whether homework or internet messages to be meticulous.

You told us your thougts about ' esl learners ' are they used to doing their essay so to pass their tests?
No matter your mistakes but do not fool yourself repeatedly , OK?

Were I fluent in English I whould not use this sort of language .
Do you agree with me Teacher?

Do not take bad habits because they will be very difficult to lose.

Sir, I can't seem to get the idea across to learners on this website, could you as teacher help me?
What is your point of view about?

Don't give up fellow members and apply yourselves to learn to speak English properly.

Thank you for reading and correcting me.

I hope I'll convince further and further teachers and learners .

forgiveness for any typos as I'm in a hurry.
    Nice blog indeed.

  • Well, do you meant it?

I'm interested with challenging you, are you?

I love reading and writing. 'esl learners'?

I'm left to my own devices and yet I make the grade you know.

Each his own. eh! I can't wait to prove it so I urge you to write to me.

I would be proud to improve you.

to get round your weak spot about your 'English language spoken'

the only way to get round this

is to practise as much as possible.

Watch telly at first then try to focus on the pronunciation used by TV newscasters.

mimic lhem as stars make to laugh at famous politicians.

At the first opportunity try to converse with fluent speakers or navives.

pretend to understand even if it's not true and never say to them.

'speak up' 'my English is not very strong' 'I lack of practice'

when you become confident, you'll listen to him (them) much more.

speak slowly using simple words, compose your ideas in your head

before speaking and try to think in English. at home speak alone in English.

listen again the words you could not seem to understand. don't use slang or lazy language

and even ask your speaker to  speak common English properly.

you'll get forward to achieve your goal, I promise.

If you cannot practise. otherwise it is dedicated to the failure.

To wrap up I'll wait for you 'esl learners'

and be patient focusing yoursef on

    understanding of pronunciation at first.

I practise like you my spoken English.

Happy practicing and don't speak as teacher but like natives are used to doing.

    Happy practicing.
