Learning homophones with wolves

about homophones by homophobe

Good day folks, first of all, what is homophone.

The word “homophone” is used to describe a word that sounds the same as another word, but that has a different meaning. It comes from the Greek words “homo”, meaning “same”, and “phone”, meaning “sound”. The two (or more) words may be spelled differently, but just to make life difficult, they can also be spelled the same.

It is easy to distinguish them when you read or write, but is very difficult when you listen (radio, movie) or speak.

Some easy examples:

Break - Brake

Here - Hear

Peace - Piece

... and so on.

Let us wolf give one more example of homophone:)

Try to read first, then try to listen (Google Translator helps) and see difference.

Now identify who is a werewolf and who is awarewolf:)

just fresh update, came across something interesting, another example of homophone:

(if you don't know Dumbledore, ask Harry Plotter fans)

Actually only one wolf walks at night, its a werewolf. Another one is just trying to learn the world around and comprehend universal knowledge, and it is an awarewolf:)
