  • Now it's in street view too! http://g.co/maps/c6bkc

  • I don't think I'll send more cards in near future.

PS. From other side that bridge looks like this. http://g.co/maps/7evw9

In other side there's medallion with commemorative text for Universities first rector.. Well I suppose the bridge was built by university. There was several buildings of university in there at top of that hill.. The maternal hospital was just one of them.. So the bridge was probably built to make it easier to commutate between different places of campus. I think.

Yeah, this park I've always liked. I haven't been in there so long time, though. So don't know, if there's still some nice atmosphere. But I remember, it was always such... Peaceful and relaxing place to walk through, or sit there.. Well in case if there was less people... Maybe that's why the university also had built some of it's building there... Because it had good atmosphere for thinking and doing science stuff.... Well the observatory maybe was built there also because on top of hill would be the best place for it.. but. I don't know. But these days, most of University buildings and hospitals are located elsewhere.. at places that aren't so nice. I think. Maybe University have moved out from downtown, to places where land would be cheaper.. I think. Not sure though.. Well it's understandable that, too old buildings aren't suitable for them anymore. It would be too expensive to maintenance.. So now there are only some museums, and apartments in those old buildings. I think... Therefore, the atmosphere might be not so good anymore. I mean if rich people live in there, then they would ruin and poison the air with own nastiness and evil thoughts. :P

    ^_^

  • So it reached you quickly.. especially when taking to account that there was Sunday inside of the time it was in way.

Well, about the bridge, on the card. It's probably one of few architecture of my town, that I like. It was built at 1816. It's name "Inglisild" (Angels bridge) comes from the word "Inglise Sild"(English bridge). English because it's English stile. There's "Otium reficit vires" written on that bridge on the side that u could see on postcard. It means "Leisure Renews the Powers". So you can see, I have many reasons to like this bridge.. And that saying "Otium reficit vires" should be suitable to you too. :)

Actually I did born near to that bridge. There was the maternity hospital close..

The coblestone road on picture brings to that hospital.. Maybe it's even visible on photo, not sure. But the maternity hospital was located in there until 200x something year. Most of southern Estonians have born there. So maybe that's also a reason I like it... But somehow that bridge is dear to me.

But the bridge was in fire this spring. It's mostly a wooden bridge on top. So it got some damage from fire.. and is in repair now, I think.. It was said that it was likely arson, but there's a little possibility that it was accident. I can't believe anyone, of local people would set that bridge to fire. I'm sure it was someone from capital Tallinn. There are only bad, people without real culture in there, like politicians and business people.. That's what I think. :P

PS. There's another bridge over that moat.. in that park. The other one is made of stones. And is called as devils bridge. No one exactly knows why, probably, because that other bridge have darker color and because there already was a Angels Bridge.. So the balance is preserved. ^_^

How about, my handwriting and drawing? Was it creepy. I actually messed a little in writing and then, instead of just striking it with lines and hiding the messed up part under strikes.. I covered it to some scribble drawing and then since it did turn out too bad, and the whole card looked bad I tried to draw more..... :P Until there was no room left.

Later I little regretted it, because thought that it might look too sentimental with all the scribbles. :P But I still posted it, because. I thought that what started must be finished. ^_^
