...This is my peppermint plant; it grows a lot during spring and summer and I just basically use it to prepare 'Mojitos' in the summer! :DMojito is a very popular Cuban cocktail made with rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water and mint. It's very refreshing (it's served with lot of ice ("on the rocks")), so it's perfect for the hot summer evenings https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojito...

  • I have never tasted Mojito. But your mint looks nice! Thank you for sharing the recipe!

  • It sounds like Lemon-Mint drink to me except for the rum thing.. so, basically I know the non-alcoholic version of it.. and also I used to serve it when I worked as a cashier before here..

  • Mojitoooo...!! Love it haha... I haven't tried any this summer yet.

You made me think of it right now. Opsss... have no peppermint :/
  • Risty, dunno whether peppermint is a mosquito repellant. But if it's of any use, Mojito is a very effective 'bad day' repellant :D

Thanks Onee, I'll let my plants to know all the nice words you told them :D

haha Elf, that's very cool! :)

  • I really like smell of Peppermint.. ^_^

    Good Job,

  • You had me at Mojito.

  • Grace, yes! You should definitely try it! ;)

Rosemary, yeah it smells a lot, even more when I'm watering them; it's very nice.
You're right, we can also prepare a tea with mint, like the Maghrebi mint tea (in my country we know it as 'Moroccan tea', I love this kind of tea too, it's very digestive). Thanks for the suggestion! :)

    Elen! yup it is! ^_^
This plant is really easy to grow, it doesn't need too much attention. When it grows a lot, I cut some lil bouquets and put them in a small vase with water and it can last just like that more than 2 weeks (some stems even grow roots in the vase and you can plant them back again) So, yeah... you should have one too and prepare Mojitos this summer! ;)
