Rafting Sport

It was my first experience for trying this water sport. Located in Citatih River, Sukabumi, West Java, where there are two option of the river length; 9 km or 12 km. So we chose the 9 km and it took time around 2 hours. The depth of river is around 10 km. We can do request to make the boat upside down deliberately or not. But, our team didn't do it since some of us cannot swim :D We also had so much fun! I think I should try "Kayak" sport. Anyone here ever tried that?

  • Yea Onee, I recommend you to go there because I think natural trip is better choice to cope your stress and feel united with them :D
  • Cool sport! Great experience!

I wish someday I can experience this. :)

    Thank you for sharing, Diah.

  • Frankly, I cannot swim and was so afraid to fall in between the trip. But there was a guide who will give you direction like "there will be a huge wave, so you must squat in 3 seconds". And yea we have to obey the guide's saying. Because it can be fatal and cause a death if we dont notice the rules. Just try to make it fun and battle the fear :D also, you have to make sure about your safety tools to save you in urgent situation
  • I can imagine how excited you were on the boat! Would you give some tips of rafting for novices? If the one who is not good at swimming, is he/she still ok to try?

  • Yeah Grace, there are some points of wave from calm until huge wave. And also we hit some corals which makes our boat unstable and too risky to get upside down. I think you must try it, it can release your stress :)

  • WOW, amazing!!  It seems very challenging to control the boat going over the rapids, doesn't it?
