Before being registered on MyEC, I had been registered on another site, where the management was unknown to the members.Strange things were happening there. From time to time, there appeared new members who were behaving outrageously - they insulted people, made fun of them, and even threaten to kill them! What had people to do? The administration hadn't reacted to members' appealing for a long time. Then people started discussing what should they do with the offenders and resulted in a loss - they bitter quarrelled with each other!!

And how about bullies? One of them calmed down having read "peacemaking address" to him. The others were banned later.I like it here in MyEC. In general, most members understand that politeness is the ritual of society and don't feel like breaking the rules. Please, read the poem and try to answer the question in the headline on the top. There's a reasonI was always taught, there's a reasonThat people do the things they do,Though you may not always like them.Their heart hides a secret from you.If they're quick to bite your head offOr constantly brag and boast,Remember, the people we like the leastMay need our love the most.Could it be they had been abusedOr even ridiculed all their lives? These are the type of hurtful thingsThat make sure their heart survives. But, the heart that survives is hardenedAnd, on the seas of life, they coast.Remember, the people we like the leastMay need our love the most.By GottaLoveClayCoThere's a reasonI'd like to congratulate all MyEC members on the International Friendship Day!

Adventure in My English Club

I've accepted an offer made by Reiziuh to tell a story about an adventure in MyEC.I had been already registered on another English learners site when I came across the English Club.com-"the world's premier FREE website for learners and teachers of English" as it was declared on the main page. The club really appeared to be a place where one can get useful materials for learning and teaching English. Then I discovered all the benefits of joining MyEC!.In addition, it was the joining MyEC,that became my unexpected adventure!

First of all, I made friends with many people. Seemingly, I could disprove the saying :"Don't make friends with people you don't know." To tell the truth, there were kind of eccentrics that made me smile, especially those ones regarding the chat as the main place in MyEC.It's strange, but some members believe an avatar to be your image :)Secondly, I joined ten groups in order to take part in their creative day-to-day activities. One of them is Anime group where its members can discuss the anime they've seen and freely express their opinions not only on anime but different topics related to animation.

Thirdly, like others, I've got my own blog that helps me to share my experience, thoughts, and emotions. And at last, I've put my photos, music and video on my page.Besides, many members participate in various contests, when you get a sense of adventure, of exploring unknown territory and not knowing what you're going to find! That is all I wanted to tell.

I've mentioned the name of Van Gogh, commenting Nadiyah blog and now woud like to tell more about the artist. Here is one of his pictures-Bedroom in Arles.1888.

The famous Dutch post impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh.Born:30.03.1853.Birthplace:HollandDied:29.07.1890 (self inflicted gunshot)Known as the marvelous painter who after quarrelling with Gauguin in a fit of remorse and anger cut off his own earlobe(http://my.englishclub.com/profiles/blogs/nadiyahs-wordless-wednesday2).

Van Gogh almost as famous for his mental instability as for his vivid paintings. His career as an artist lasted only 10 years and coincided with frequent bouts of depression and anguish. He created more than 800 paintings and 700 drawings, of which he sold only one in his lifetime. He always was ready to help those who was in need-poor people and even animals. For example, once he spent his last money to feed a stray dog."By the mid of 20-th century Van Gogh was seen as one of the most recognizable and one of the greatest painters in history."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vincent_van_GoghStarry Night Over the Rhone.-1888.

Sunflowers.-1888.One of the most expensive paintings in the world.

Crop Art--Rice Fields of Japan.

Farmers create extraordinary rice "murals" in Japan by planting rice in different colours in Japanese paddy fields.

The farmers first sketch out their designs on computers. Hundreds of villagers and other volunteers(!) then help to plant the four different coloured varieties of rice in the vast fields. We can see a wonderful result when diligence and love for beauty combine and merge. Is there anything like this in other countries?

For poetry lovers

There are two great Russian female poets:M. Tsvetaeva and A.Akhmatova.Please, get to know one of them-A. Akhmatova(1889-1966).

Anna Akhmatova (1889 - 1966)The portrait by O. Kardovskaya(1914)My Hands Clasped...(1911)My hands clasped under a veil, dim and hazy..."Why are you so pale and upset?"That's because I today made him crazyWith the sour wine of regret. Can't forget! He got out, astound,With his mouth distorted by pain...I,not touching the railing, ran down,I was running to him till the lane.Fully choked, I cried,"That's a joke--All that was. You get out, I'll die!"And he smiled very calmly, like stroke:It's windy right here--pass by."Translated by Y. Bonver,2000Y. Bonver' site: http://www.poetryloverspage.com/yevgeny/index.html

Internet addiction

Internet addiction? I think there are quite a lot people who don't regard it as a problem. How can the use of a positive force like the Internet become a negative ,debilitating factor in someone's life? Very simple. Just like the use of food, the drinking of alcohol, or the purchasing of material things can escalate into misuse,so that one's preoccupation with using the Internet becomes an addiction. Or may be the desire to escape life stressors-innocent fun?

The 6 June is the birthday of the greatest Russian poet A. S. Pushkin(6.06 1799-29.01 1837). I wouldn't exaggerate, if I said that his name is famous all over Russia! He was mortally wounded during the duel. All the people was mourning the loss of him. After his death some famous people started to hate his wife, but I think it wasn't her fault.

A.S. Pushkin. Here is the poem by A. S. PushkinI loved you.I loved you and my love I think was strongerThan to be quite extinct within me yet.But let it not distress you any longer,I wouldn't have you feel the least regret.I loved you bare of hope and of expressionWith turns of jealousy and shyness sore.I loved you with such purity , such passionAs may God grant you to be loved once more.
