  Hi everyone, down It's some points concerning to spoken English, which in my view, It is worth checking it out ;))

1 - Don't be a fearful speaker ;

  If you really want to take the first step, dare to speak to everyone you can, since family members to pen pals ( sure, if they have some English skill). The speaking in English is the first and most important step to a sucessful and fluent conversation. No matter if you have a vast or reduced vocabulary, just start to speak, even all alone in your home.

  Below, a Mark Twain's quotation realated to this topic:

  " Bravery is resistance to fear, domain of fear - and not a lack of fright".

2 - Making mistakes is part of learning process;

  Think that all human beings are capable of making mistakes during all whole life. So, If you're human, It's completely expected that happens. You should make mistakes so that you can learn from them, and not make them deliberately with no use for learning. No matter if you wrote for instance: "Somebody cry" ( correct: "Somebody cries"). Try to recognise your mistakes, cleared through learners' corrections and find how to write that structure correctly next time.

3 - No excuses by your English level for other ones, you're going ahead each day;

  You have to begin to understand fluency is a long-term project, which you have to care daily, if possible. So, don't give excuses in a conversation with a  higher English level person  who you speak or write. Focus on always trying to get better your level, so you'll be able to follow a higher level of English knowledge.

4 - Frustrated: never;

  Frustration is a component of this pack called "language learning", so, you should comprise somehere of your learning process, you'l feel frustrasted by not be able to say what you wanted. You're not a batty person, you're just in a transitional step towards a new world of speaking, reading and listening.

5 - If you do not understand somebody, don't take that personally;

  Like in English, there are many accents It is very likely you don't get in  any situation understand everything anybody says to you. But, you cannot take it personally because you're a learner, and as learner you're in a under position, so the better is learn from what you've not understood , by finding souce of helping, like teachers or English handouts. Study is effort, battle for knowing.

6 - Don't compare yourself with other learners;

  Comparing is not the best method for you assess your performance in  any idiom. Persons are different each other, as well as, your learning is.

7 - If you think you're fluent, It's high time you analyse yourself!

  Learning is a long journey, and even the "fluent English speakers" keep on learning, because languages are dynamic elements which always have continuing changings.  A word which was used in the  19th century , It cannot be used nowadays, just saying!! So, the ones who proposed yourselves to learn English, have to assume their roles of never-ending students. "There's always a higher level to climb in English" summarise well this topic.

  So, that's it for this time. See you, bye!

  Hello clubbers, this week I want to leave for you a travelling hint to dream, and why not to come true it .

  I introduce the beautiful tourist destination of Hvar in Croatia.

   First, I have to mention that Croatia has over 1,000 islands and sure, an exuberant nature. In summer the Sun rises at 5 AM and sets between 9/10 PM. It's a sunny place to be really!

Localization

  Hvar Islands is located in Dalmatia region, to the South of Croatia. It's worth remembering that Croatia has more than 1,000 km of coastline, which can be explored by car.

The Island

  With about 68 km lenght, the island has 4 cities and several villages. The most crowded city by tourists in Hvar Island, is the own Hvar city. This city is the most of hotels and a developed trade. There's also a intense harbor with restaurants and shops, which sell natural products.

Main attractions

  It's just impossible not to admire the clear water of Adriatic Sea. Some beaches are virtually deserted.  Among rises, falls and bends you'll likely feel the pleasing perfume of lavanda's plantations.

Hvar's tastes

  Don't leave to try out the olive olis from the country, which are found at supermarkets and market-places.

Local currency

  The local currency is called "kuna". Currently, 1 euro is equivalent to 7.5 kunas.

When to go

  Croatia is privileged to have  winters with soft temperatures and lenghty summers. As from April the weather is already too pleasant. August is the more busy month, because of the european tourists go to there in its holiday season.

How to get around there

   There's no minimum need to use car in Hvar, but as there are far beaches, you can rent  scooters, motorcycles or even boats.

What to do there

  It can be suggested  the following rides:

  - Tour through nearby islands, like the islands " Pakleni Otoci";

  - Visiting to the "Lozna" and "Jagodna" beaches;

  - Get to know the "Dubovica" beach, more accessible than the previous beaches, because by foot, is about 1 km from Hvar city, so you can reach  it easily. It's needed to park at roadway and follow downhill to get to it ;)

  - Get to know the city of "Stari Grad" (which It stands out for its alleys);

  - Visit the street market-place in Hvar ( vegetables, greens besides bakeries and dairies);

  - Take a round through the Hvar's old city stairways;

  Ok, here I finish my travelling post of this week, but I'm focused on my next post! Bye bye!

   Hi English clubbers, this week I decided to bring to my blog post something about IQ, and therefore I thought to answer: If we had double IQ , how would it be this experience? Based on some readings I did on the Web I'll adress this issue. So, let's start again! ;)

  Imagine If everybody had double IQ how would it be the behaviour that population of geniuses on the Earth?

1st: Individual benefits

  With more intelligence, we'd have more ability to learn fast and remember anything too. Thus, It could be that we become readers and students more passionate about that terrible and thick Mathematics' books and,  as a consequence,  we'd understand any subject in greater depth and appreciation.

  A higher IQ probably would lead us to search for carrers more linked to our personal interests, instead of, searching for ones more linked to our mental abilities. We'd need less time to learn an idiom, for example, or who knows became a  prestigious physician. And the most important: we'd live more, because we'd adopt a healthier life style.

2nd: Benefits living beside harms

  It's possible that in a world ruled by geniuses, the society, as a  whole, would be benefit partly, because we'd keep on living together all kinds of individuals - good ones and bad ones - so, even though, we were in a " super-intelligent"  world we'd have at the same time, intelligent heads contriving in favor of bad actions, armed coups and mirabolant crimes. It's interesting that, "Justice League"  would be more ready to fight against bad, so, we witness a true battle between bad and evil. ;))

3rd: God aside

  Due to the knowledge came from intelligence, the most of humans would be more inclinable to be more liberal in social actions, letting go God, because its explanations for every earthly happpening it'd come from its own thinking ability, that is, based on its own reasoning. The faith in God, maybe would vanish completely.

4th: Worry about beauty

  According to Harvard's study about the relation: physical attraction X high scores in IQ's tests there's a strong correlation between these aspects, reinforcing the idea that If one day we come to have "super-minds", we'll probably  be very worried about beauty, because we'd recognise that "look" would  play an important role in social interaction and acceptance. This is a good question, because, humankind would go taking care more of its own health, by giving more importance to things like exercise and personal care.

  So, this week, that's it I had to talk with you guys! So, bye bye!

# 1 destination city: London

 tip 1: Don't go out with no umbrella;

 tip 2: Practise your good manners. Always say thank you and "excuse me" all the time;

 tip 3: Never eat a "kebab"on the London streets. It's highly unlikely it has true beef in it;

 tip 4: Bargain with the minicabs drivers, the particular company's cabs of London;

 tip 5: Don't visit  the Madame Tussauds Museum replicas, besides being  a wasting of money, It's kinky!!!

 tip 6: Don't try to gain sympathy of cockneys, calling them "mate". That'll not work!

 tip 7: Don't stand on the left side of escalators. Let this one for true cockneys, almost always in a hurry!!

#2 destination city: New York

 tip 1: Don't take pictures on Times Square. The only exception is if you witness some case of police brutality. This opportunity shoot that moment and put it on Youtube;

 Hi guys, this week's post I'll talk about a recordist when the subject is travelling, called Charles Veley.

 Charles Veley is an american 46 year-old  precocious millionaire who spend 2000's seeking to visit as many as countries he could. For that, he used an Excel spreadsheet and U$$2 billions dollars in investment, taken from his company. In his own words: " My focus is meet targets. On one hand, travelling is fun. On the other hand, a TO-DO list".  In 2004, he turned up on Guiness World Book by visiting seventy countries in three years. At that time, he's already known about 193 nations which compose the ONU.

 Betimes, he found his own travellers' club entitled (Most Travelled People) which has already  12.000 registers.

 Nobody has beaten Charles' achievement so far, just to know, he travelled 2.882.291 km and almost a hundred destinations. It was , according his reckonings, 827 territories, republics, provinces, federations, islands, insurgent states and enclaves. It misses only 45 destinations for Veley saying that he ran the entire world. He says: "My  preferred destination is always the next one."

 In the 90's, he established a software company which reached out to worth about U$$ 24 billions. With so much money in his pocket, he started a period in his life which lasted 10 years, buying  two round-trip tickets all over the world. At that time, he was married and have already had three children.

 But, not always Veley had a life of travelling. At 20, that new-yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn had never went out from USA, as he went on holidays to Spain in the company of his parents. However, when he failed in becoming a figter plane pilot, he found out that he was in love with history, geography, culture, people and new experiences, says him.  Before such failure in becoming a figter plane pilot he gave yourself a 3 month big travel pack through Europe. Since then, he always travels when it is possible for him.

 He flew through about 100 commercial airlines, and also embarked in scientific expeditions, military planes and freighters. He tell us in his adventures around the world that he had to swim towards Clipperton Islands, french possession to 1.280 km from Mexico, in the Pacific Ocean, due to burocratic issues which didn't allowed him to berth in  Mexican coastline.

  He got reach the most visited countries record out, when visiting  Bouvet Island, in the South extreme of the globe, to 1600 km of the frozen continent - Antarctica. To getting there, he caught a ride in a helicopter of researchers. Bouvet Island is considered one of the most isolated and inhospitable places in the world. In that occasion, he said: " It was the climax of  my globetrotter life."

  And, regarding to the most beautiful places in the world, what would it be them, in Veley's view?

 First, Lord Howe Island, in the Sea of Tasmania, to 1600 km  to the south of Australia. Second, Kauai Island , in Hawaii.

 After travelling through so many interesting places, spending the money earned in his software company,  Veley needed to go back to his missing company in the USA. Nowadays, he keeps travelling between two american cities up. San Francico - where It is his home - and Washington - where It is his company of software.

 Veley also wants to know the 4% remaining of the world, that percentage includes: Bjornoya Islands (Norway), Karakalpakstan ( sel-governing republic of Uzbekistan), Minami Torishima ( under the sovereignty of Japan, but integrated to Ogasawara Islands) and naval base of Guantanamo ( north- american jail in Cuba).

 To end my weekly post up, a sentence by Charles Veley:

 " I'm not a millionaire anymore, but I'm still young. I don't have no more doubts I'll reach any travel goal during my life out."

* Here's a link to an interview with Charles Veley on (islands.com) - " Is this Reigning World Champion of Travel?" : < islands.com/blogs/reigning-world-champion-travel> If you are interested in, then It worth reading it!

 So, Cheers English clubbers! See you soon.

 Hi everyone, in one more weekly blog post I will share with you a news, which I was so pleased  for its benefic-purpose for our so damaged natural environment    - including mainly there, all the worlwide oceans - It is the ray-robot designed by 19-year-old dutch engineering student Boyan Slat, awarded for the best technical drawing of 2012 by Delft Technology University - The Netherlands. For me, a brilliant young inventor with a so privileged mind, amid so catastrophic forethoughts about our beautiful house -  the Earth.

  In fact, the ray-robot is still a prototype, but its functioning is a perfect new invention for withdrawing plastic residues from the ocean. The ray-robot works like a funnel, attracting for the angle of its stems, the ocean plastic filth, then leading it to the processing plataform, where the rubbish could be separated from plankton ( tidy marine organisms that  serve as food for several other sea creatures) and stored for future recycling. Moreover,the ray-robot device is also able to analyse the quantity and size of the ocean plastic residues. In order to minimize the environmental effects of the ray-robot's building , a team of fifty engineers works together on technology's feasibility and intend to implant solar panels so that the system gets to catch the energy of the waves and oceanic currents to keep the robot working. No prevision for actual use, says Boyan in his site - (boyanslat.com) -  that is intended the ray-robot to take away from the ocean about 7.250.000 tons of plastic residues in only five years. Could the ray-robot  take away a little more than 7 millions  tons of residues from the ocean? I hope so, It'd be a great contributing invention for all mankind as regards ocean pollution.   Talking more about oceanic pollution, below It is a picture that stands out which is called "Pacific Vortex", the biggest concentration of maritime rubbish all over the world, just to mention the facts about this "dump" outdoors,  It contains 4 million tons of bottles and packs, addding up to 700.000 squared kilometers of neglect, adrift, carried by the maritime currents all the time.  So, It's high time to prevent our dear planet from complete  ocean destruction, since a part of humankind is not worried about our living together in this common environment called "Blue Planet", because what concerns it, It's simply the profit, the sellings, the wealth, at all costs, including this cost your  survival and our  survival  as humankind  in a future  planet with not only oceanic pollution but all sorts of pollutions. Then, think twice before you throw that plastic bag away at the sea and even at your own street ground. We should avoid the pollution of  the oceans starting with actions on our own account,  simple  actions like refuse plastic bags and adopt reusable bags.  Here's a link to "Great Pacific Garbage Patch" on Wikipedia, which tells more about the detalis, tecnical informations  with respect to the Pacific Trash Vortex : (wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pacific_Garbage_Patch).

   And to finish my blog  post up today, I want to let you a reflection message by Boyan Slat as well as his video for a talk given at TEDXDelft:

http://youtu.be/ROW9F-c0kIQ (How the oceans can clean themselves : Boyan Slat at TEDXDelft)

  And now, the Boyan's message said in the video for the talk: (and remember: THINK OVER about its content!) Bye bye, see you next week!!! ;)

 Hi everyone, I want to talk a bit more this post, about a news which is spreaded through Web, and It's related to, at first, strange, Google`s  new tool called "Innactive Account Manager ". It was unveiled on April 11 by Andreas Tuerk - product manager - on Google Data Liberation Blog. If you want, you can follow this link and read on your own: http://dataliberation.blogspot.com

 The goal of this new tool is, according to Google, allows google`s account holders manage their digital lives by setting the availability of their stored photos, videos, e-mails and many other elements, in case, death or larger inactivity period.

 The users' inclusion this service can be made through Google`s settings page where is decided what to do with your GMail email messages and data of many other associated services like Google+, Blogger,+1s, Contacts and Circles, Drive, Pages and Streams, Google Voice, Picasa Web Album and Youtube - all  owned by  giant company in Web search - Google - after a long period of inactivity/death.

 Before the delection of these data, it'll be sent a notice about this process  via  text message to  cell phone and email  to a second adress provided by the user. So, Andreas wrote: "We hope that this new feature will enable you to plan your digital afterlife — in a way that protects your privacy and security—and make life easier for your loved ones after you’re gone,".

 The Google`s inactivity tool will not allow , relatives or friends access directly to the content of a deceased user, only own user will could designate what content It wants to share with your designees. The recipient of these data - emails, photos, videos... will be received  by download pack, It`s not being possible retrieve the extinct account entirely. There`s also an option to delete completely the account content in a pre-determinated inactivity period, up to one year.

So guys, for today, this is what I`ve wanted to comment over here!  See ya! Chau!

2013: The Solar Eruptions' Year

 Hi everyone! This post I want to talk about a matter which I heard and readed  a couple of weeks ago on the TV newscast and Web portals, but that ocurred specifically on Monday February 17th .  This happening which my attention was focused on, it was the biggest solar storm came out by NASA through its non-manned probe SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory) of 2013. The solar storms are explosions on the surface of the Sun due to temperature and pressure decrease of its volumes of fizzy mass in the regions of solar stains. That happen all the time, all the years in an endless solar cicle. As the Sun releases too much energy in this process, such big balance of solar energy has an affect on the magnetic field of the Earth, because the interaction between them, leading to the "Earth eletromagnetic storm" (if we may so call that event). So, that "Earth storm" increases the CA (electric current) of electrical appliances, in a way, "fryting" these objects, since, they cannot have enough strenght to keep working accordingly. It's known to each eleven years the Sun undergoes periods of ups and downs in its storm activity. Both 2012 and 2013 are located inside a period of high solar activity, what means we are going to have a year of solar eruptions crossing the Earth. The quoted storm was classified by the scientists of NASA in the level "M" ( M referring to the idea of "medium") because of its shining in X-rays. "M" solar storms affect  the poles of the Earth, that's why can occur quick interruptions on the radio broadcastings. For instance, who was listening to radio in Europe and North America that time, can has suffered this consequence, owing to the high atmosphere ionization's wave caused by the ultra violet radiation of solar storm. The "maximum solar " (like the scientists call the "ups" in solar activity) is particulary bothering the air routes which come by Asia bound to North America (and contariwise) across North Pole, causing reformulations in aircraft's flying plans for this region, just we remember that all  solar energy in  an eruption concentrates on in poles, therefrom the reason for that result or consequence.

 The solar storm's forecast is conducted by Solar Dynamics Laboratory, which sends for NASA's scientists images of the Sun in real time. Such forecast can has an error margin of approximately thirteen minutes, on the other hand,this forethought system is not able to gauge the size and intensity of the eruption. So, left us await the solar wave touch one more NASA's equipment called "Advanced Composition Explorer" that measures the intensity of a solar tempest and sounds alerts to the scientists and soon for us, laymen.

 To finish my post for now, I hope you get more informed about the facts that happen in the Universe out there, and can reflect in our own life in the future. Bye! See you!!
