Hello dear readers, this week I'm inspired to write something about travels, and to kick off on this subject I decided to talk about "hints" to go almost unnoticed as a tourist in the following destinations: London, New York and Paris. So, let's start right now that!!!

# 1 destination city: London

 tip 1: Don't go out with no umbrella;

 tip 2: Practise your good manners. Always say thank you and "excuse me" all the time;

 tip 3: Never eat a "kebab"on the London streets. It's highly unlikely it has true beef in it;

 tip 4: Bargain with the minicabs drivers, the particular company's cabs of London;

 tip 5: Don't visit  the Madame Tussauds Museum replicas, besides being  a wasting of money, It's kinky!!!

 tip 6: Don't try to gain sympathy of cockneys, calling them "mate". That'll not work!

 tip 7: Don't stand on the left side of escalators. Let this one for true cockneys, almost always in a hurry!!

#2 destination city: New York

 tip 1: Don't take pictures on Times Square. The only exception is if you witness some case of police brutality. This opportunity shoot that moment and put it on Youtube;

 tip 2: Don't buy T-shirts with the phrase: "I love NY", unless you are being sarcastic;

 tip 3: Don't do incremented picnics at Central Park;

 tip 4: Don't take pictures of your meals at refined restaurant;

 tip 5: Always walk fast, talking on mobile phone, carrying a coffee cup, avoiding visual contact at any cost;

 tip 6: Bypass celebrities;

 tip 7: Try to look bored, exhausted or important;

 tip 8: Scream with the bycycle deliverers;

 tip 9: Visit the website: ResidentAdvisor.com, and check out  the spectacles on display. Choose one with the expressions: "vanguard", "ghostly" or "hard to define" on sinopsis.

#3 destination city: Paris

 tip 1: Don't go visiting The Louvre on Tuesdays. It's closed;

 tip 2: Don't go shopping on Sundays or holidays;

 tip 3: Don't say "Opera Bastille" is a beautiful building;

 tip 4: Change the Eiffel Tower's stocking by Montparnasse Tower and enjoy a different view of the city;

 tip 5: Don't make toasts at Champs-Elysées avenue;

 tip 6:  Mistrust if a restaurant's menu come written in English;

 tip 7:  Enjoy an appetizer in a closest public park. Take a little bit of salami, red wine, several kinds of cheese and  warm baguettes.

* Remember that, these are only "hints", came out by the website: "How Not To Be a Tourist" - (hntbat.com) -  composed of a team of 4  journalists and illustrators of Singapore and China, who give humorous hints how to behave  and dress in many places all over the world. This website is supported by resident collaborators that live in that traditional touristic destinations.

 So, guys for now It's finished my blog post. See you next weekend, because there're more interesting things to come.Chau!!!

  • Really interesting!

  • Additional tip

    London : Better to be able to speak some in Arabic in Oxford Street. English is the second language there.

    Paris : Better to do your "personal business" while in your hotel. Public toilets are shared between men and women, even in one of the most expensive shopping complex - La Fayette

  • Nice! Thanks for all the tips. I hope I remember them when I get to travel to those cities.
