Corpse Bride - A Lesson of Love

Corpse Bride - A Lesson of Love "Corpse Bride" is a cartoon film produced by Wanner Bros. Pictures which attracts me even when I watched it the fifth time. Despite the theme of Romance, there is nothing called "true love kiss" or "happily ever after" in "Corpse Bride", but death, greediness, wickedness, for it is a horror cartoon film. What impressed me is that true love, sympathy, kindness were flawlessly and secretly expressed under such horrible scenes. In my opinion, "Corpse Bride" is a cartoon film which children definitely should never glance at because the scenes are too horrible to them, and the message of love is too deep for them to understand. The first reason that children should never watch "Corpse Bride" is that the characters and the scenes, even the music are scary. Each character is created with some remarkable features which well represent their personalities. For instance, Victor, a kind, innocent guy, is skinny with a little stupid face. Emily, the corpse bride, has a disintegrated face and hand, but still looks very lovely. Victoria, his bride-to-be, is an elegant young lady with small waistline. The corpses in the under-world are very lovely created with funny features, for they are all kind and helpful. The noble men and women, though look elegant, show wickedness on their faces. The second reason, which is also the most important one, is that the message of true love is expressed hiddenly in the cartoon, so children can hardly interpret it, but surely adults can do it easily from watching the fabulous cartoon. Victor and Victoria, who first were arranged to get married for financial motivation and status promotion of two families, truly fell for each other when they found their souls had the same tone in the piano. However, Victor accidentally met Emily, a corpse buried in the wood with the beautiful innocent soul under the in disintegrated body. He was scared at first because he had broken the spell and had to get married to Emily. Later on, when finding the true beauty inside Emily, he was willing to get married to that nice corpse. There were also many many other climaxes which helped emphasize their true love. Eventually, Emily let Victor back to Victoria because "loving someone is to see him live happily with the woman he loves". As for her, she had salvation which was the best gift from Victor's kindness and love. As for me, "Corpse Bride" with horror scenes is not only my cup of tea, a good English-spoken film helping me practice my listening skills but also "chicken soup for the soul", for it brought a good lesson of love: True love defeated greediness, wickedness and sometimes lovers are not necessary to be too IDEAL. As long as you awake your sympathy and kindness deep inside your heart to look at your lover, you will find him or her a good one deserving your true love. Eventuall, everyone will find their own true love in this life.Maybe I am a dreamer, but I keep believing in this sweet power. Try watching it!
