Surat Al-Mā`ūn (The Small Kindesses)

Hi everyone.

Today, let's take a look at Surah Al-Maoon. This short Surah, with only 7 Ayat, has a lot to say to every one of us.

It is very interesting that in the fourth Ayah, we see that Quran says:"Woe to those who pray!..." . We may be shocked at first to look at this Ayah individually. But when it continues in the following Ayat, it becomes clear that why some of the ones who pray must be talked to in such a sad way! The ones whose prayers may seem not to has affected their soul.

A Muslim who prays, must pray just in the name of Allah, not to show off. A Muslim who prays, must consider the importance of Salah or prayers. We should not let Satan make us forget our prayers nor to whom we are praying. We should be aware of what we are doing, and we should consider the importance of saying prayers to Allah.

One really delicate and important lesson in the last verse of this Surah exists that we should pay attention to. We should be helpful and kind to people, especially our neighbors. We should not avoid the very ordinary things from the people around us. For example, when your neighbor needs some dish, why not lending them and helping them? We should always try to be helpful. This not only helps other people, but also our own selves; how? If people know you as a helpful mankind, they would help you in return whenever you need their assistance.

Anyway, thanks for your attention.

I hope that I conveyed the message correctly.

Allah bless you all.

Have a nice time

:)
