Being a Muslim

Moving with dignity and prideA quick and powerful strideExtreme strength of the mindAn unbelievable findA Muslim standing proudHead high above the crowdBuilding futures from the groundNo limits, all is unboundOne nation hand in handOne strong solid bandThis is how we should standOnly one goal, one demandJust one basic obligationThe very reason of our creationWorshiping the One, resisting temptationBut where is that unifying sensation?Where is the united ‘Muslim state’?We were one, united by belief in fateNow there is only greed and hateBlindly following the wrong estateWe fell not because of our religionBut because we cease to envisionOur Lord’s ‘eye’ in every decisionBringing us to our current condition‘Muslims are backward’ is a falsityOur arrogance causes our indignityWe shredded our own integrity…Where is the Muslim pride and dignity?
