Writing Prompt ~ Collocations with Do

Hey everyone!!! :D

Well I'm not back actually, was just wandering in EC and found this writing prompt interesting and pretty informative so, I thought to give it a try and check if I lost my memory ;) lol ok jokes apart here is my letter to a creepy/careless roommate.

Dear Rosy,

I'm done with your careless nature/habits. You know what? I know, you do know how much I struggle being your roommate. I do the cooking just for the sake of our good relationship as roommate. I do the chores all by myself, and you don't even notice that. I have decided that from now on you will help me doing everything equally. You will do the dishes while I will do the cooking. You will do the laundry and I will do the other things. And please do me a favor, try to cooperate with me.

                                                                                                                              Your roomy,

                                                                                           Anah.

Tara dear thanks :) well EC is a great place to relax and learn really. I was tired as hell but when I made a blog I felt awesome!!! :D Thanks for giving us a platform where we can relax ourselves by participating in healthy activities. :) hugs :D

Expector Sir, thanks for the correction, I've been waiting to see the correction!! :)

Mr.Bob, thanks for your kind suggestion. But, can you elaborate it, actually I didn't get it properly. To be very honest when I was writing the sentence I do the cooking just for the sake of our good relationship as roommate I was confused. So kindly explain me a bit about it. :)

Afro dear, I missed ya too :) really I mean it I missed the whole EC and all the great challenges here, but don't worry I'll be back again soon!! :D

Akash, thanks :) take care you too!

    Gulzar, lol

    Dear Rosy,

I appreciate your confidence of not doing anything and still convincing me to believe your lie that, you did so much for me. But kindly get yourself out from the imaginary world where you are helping me a lot. Its my request to you, start doing house chores with me equally else you can find a new apartment.

    Bye

    Your roomy.

    Anah

  • Your roommate deserves those stern words from you Anah, hahaha!  I hope she will listen to you!  Great to see you again Anah!

  • Hi Anah,

Glad to knew your feelings about me and thank you so much whatever you did for me. I am not publishing whatever I did for you because I m not one of those who need to publish their work I believe “Action speaks louder than words”. I don’t wanaa be your roommate any more.

    Bye

    Your roomy,

    Rosy

Anah Nice to see you again here on ec...:D

  • Nice One - Hey Nice to see ya anah ! see ya soon .. Take care :)

  • Ana.....nice to see you again!..I really missed you.

  • Hi Anah,

Glad you are dedicating yourself to your studies. I like your blog and don't have much to correct, but I will suggest that you look at the singular and plural form of roommate. The first time it is correct.  The second time you are talking about "our relationship" and since there are two or more you need to think about the plural form.

I prefer doing the cooking and laundry myself. I also like to be sure of the results (cleanliness) of doing the dishes, but a roommate needs to do something. I think you offered a fair division of the housework. Keep her doing housework and the place will be clean unless she is sloppy and you have to do it over again.

  • Good job, Anah!

Grammar inspector: You can say "struggle to do something" and "help someone do or to do something", not "struggle doing something" or "help someone doing something".

  • Fantastic! Great to see you here!

  • A very good use of Writing Prompt ~ Collocations with Do
