Writing Challenge: Reflexive Pronouns

A piece of my life’s experience…

I’d like to share with you my little story today. The story looks very simple itself, but I think it may cause you to think a bit about our attitude for lives towards life.

Once, I and some of my friends traveled to a country side. A place that was very beautiful with immense fields. The green color of grasses seemed like imbued the infinite space itself.

On that journey, I myself was impressed with the game flying kites one of the most popular games in the countryside in the windy season. It looks like so many dreams of people themselves were sent in those kites and on behalf of them to spread their wings up to the sky. What a poetry image! And especially, I’ve learned a precious lesson from a small boy of about 5 years old with his father playing that lovely game once I was looking up in the sky at those kites were flied by people include adults and kids on that day.

You know, people need a small stick or something to make a ball of string for flying kites. Things happened as the string of the kite which was flying upon the sky of that little boy’s slipped out off his small clumsy hands and carried with that small stick. The little boy himself at once ran follow the stick was dragging upon the grasses with his all effort to catch. His father also ran behind him. Everyone who was there looked at them with a pleasant smile on their faces. It was not because that’s a strange scene, but it looked very lovely. I’ll never forget the image of that little boy's who was in red short clothes facing with those brush of grasses looked even higher than him and the uneven surface of the ground under his foot kept chasing toward his string of kite without help from anyone else. And in the end, he caught it with a happy smile on his sweaty but joyful face. It reminded me about myself and most of adults ourselves in the way pursuing our dream. Unlike that little boy, we seem very easy to get discouraged and frustrated whenever we encountered some problems due to some negative effects of our life.

I think, sometime we ourselves should turn our mind to the childhood when our desire was the most wonderful thing we had. Don’t you think so?

I'm delightful to see your comment here, dear. Thank you! Happy that I could bring you some joyment by thinking of the childhood. You are really great mom for your sons as I've seen your mindmap for taking care of him before. Hope you always enjoy living by your son's side.

I've heard a saying would like to share with you :)

"Paradise is arround us, at our children"

  • @ My dear Grace,

Thanks so much dear for reading my blog! I'm glad that you like it. Yeah, you are right. By experiencing so many mistakes and some bad problem in living, our heart would become shy and be afraid of facing things. Sometime, we need to win ourselves first by strengthen it as if when we still were a child :)

  • @ My boss of heart Ha, :P

  • @ My dear Hala,

Your beautiful words really make my day, dear. Yes, our childhood is the most motivation for our life. By thinking of it, our mind will be refreshed and be younger even like a child. Then, recover our desire with the idea "start again never be so late"

Thank you very much for being with me on this humble corner, Dear :)

  • @ Dear Dr. Expector,

Thanks for sharing me your experience. I myself also love flying kites so much. I used to make my own kite by paper. But you know, It couldn't fly...hihi... And I don't know how to fly kites actually. Anyway I enjoyed seeing them from my friends' playing. Hopefully one day I'd have a chance to play it :)

Thank you so much for featuring my blog. It motivates me a lot. I'll try my best.
