Writing Challenge: Pretty Paragraphs

Pretty Clouds

When I was a child, I dreamed to be a pilot. I think there's excitement and adrenaline rush in navigating an airplane. You would get a closer look to the skies especially if the weather is fine and dandy. I'm sure that the main responsibility of every pilot is to accompany the passengers reach their destination safely. Though I didn't end up as a pilot, boarding an aircraft always gives me pleasure. That's my chance to see the clouds up-close and personal.

I'm fascinated with clouds! When rays of sunlight beam through them, they form different shapes and auras. I remembered Cloud 9 when I took that photo above during a trip. Seeing them along with blue skies brought glimmer of hope to me. If there's a perfect description for this photo, I would say it's breath-taking!

I prefer white and brilliant clouds, like cotton candies fluttering to the air. Perhaps giant moth balls rolling back and forth. They look eye-catching but unpleasant to the nose, right? Kidding! How about piles of rice cakes? Oh no! Now I'm getting hungry!

Sometimes I have crazy ideas describing a cloud. Maybe it's my habit to make myself busy and prevent boredom while on board an airbus. Unfortunately, some flights I took before were at late afternoon. I was glad to bring a nice reading material, though.

It's no wonder why clouds are pretty! They could form angles that are quite interesting. They would make your trip memorable, too! All you need is a wide imagination and creativity. Who knows, they could take you to your dream destination in the future.

Please provide an answer for this photo.

Thank you for reading this blog post!

  • Hi Teacher Tara!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on this blog post! It's nice to know that you could imagine an ET in that cloud!

Here's a revised sentence for the correction.

I'm sure that the main responsibility of every pilot is to accompany the passengers to reach their destination safely.

    or

I'm sure that the main responsibility of every pilot is to secure the safety of the passengers and cabin crews.

I hope I got it right this time.

    Cheers!

  • Hello, my dear Sister!

I'm grateful for your comment, Fahime! I totally agree with you that clouds are wonderful creations of God. There could be lots of reason why these clouds are existing, so as to help us see their beauty and feel them inside our hearts. How I wish I could contain them in a jar!

You have a creative guess, though! Yup, it seems that cloud looks like a shark. I could imagine its large head, probably the Great White one. Have you watched the movie, "Jaws"?

Thank you for reading my blog as well as leaving a warm comment! I appreciate it deeply! I'm glad to see you're in cloud 9, but don't dream too much, OK?

    Take care,

    R☺bbie

  • I think there is a baby monster in this cloud. She has just been born and hasn't opened her eyes yet. She looks a bit like ET.

Excellent paragraphs and lovely photos! I love the topic of your post for this month's challenge. Can you improve this sentence?

"I'm sure that the main responsibility of every pilot is to accompany the passengers reach their destination safely.

  • My dear bro, Robbie

Cloud is one of the softest and loveliest things created by God, no one can touch them but I have a dream, it's my fantasy: I wish I could have a bunch of them, put them on my bed and lay down on them, it would be the most sweet dreams...

Robbie, I really enjoyed reading ur pretty and wonderful paragraphs... I also love Cloud 9 ;-)

Thxxx dear 4 ur adorable sharing, oh I should say I guess that cloud is so similar 2 a shark..., I can see his giant mouth and one of his eyes... It only reminds me a shark :-)

Robbie, I'm still on cloud 9 after reading ur pretty paragraphs, did I use cloud 9 correctly?!!! ;-)

  • You're welcome, Shabeen! Don't worry, I only think of clouds when I'm boarding a plane. Lol! Thank you for the comment! ☺

  • It's pretty nice to see your comment, Mickey! Thank you for your effort, dear! Keep dreaming beautiful things..... ☺

  • Hello, Teacher Galina!

How have you been? I'm surprised to read your comment on this blog! The excerpt from Tolstoy's novel was quite related to the way we perceive our struggles in a daily basis. Sometimes we're busy at work or school that we take for granted the existence of beautiful things around us.

I appreciate those lovely quotes and explanation you wrote below. How nice to hear them to freshen up someone's day. Just like you brought smiles to my face!

Thank you very for the comments! Have a pretty and meaningful new week ahead!

    Cheers!
