Good morning, MyEC Members! :))

What do you think about the story above? Did you get the different meaning of the words in bold? YES. This is a new challenge for you. :) The same word can be used as different parts of speech. What is 'parts of speech'?? EnglishClub has provided the material for you. Generally, we know or use a word in one or two parts of speech. Let's try this way to learn the words deeper.

I would offer you some words here. You need to look up dictionary to know more, though. Anyway, you can choose another word.

BENEFIT - ABOVE - BACK - DASH - DATE - ADVANCE - TREAT - ALL

How to participate?

1) Make a SHORT STORY using a word that has multiple meanings OR can be used as a different part of speech.

2) Post A BLOG with this title (same title, you can add your 'word') and every word you use must be written in bold so that others can learn from it.

3) Make mini dictionary OR give the link of the meaning of the word you use.

4) See the example above!

I'm sorry to challenge you with grammar again. ^^ To reach higher, we should boost our English skill with grammar, shouldn't we? ))) I would try to correct your blog if you wish. Of course you may ask fluent teachers for help. So, add 'correction' in the tag, I would suggest. Last, please please tell me if you still find any mistakes on mine.

Here are other examples for your reference.

Thank you so much for reading. Please include other words here if you know. I'm looking forward to your participation. ^_^

"Have a great day!"

  • Hi Onee.

I´d love to write a blog about an english word I´ll never "get along with" and I can´t "get out" of mind. I think even experts of the english should celebrate a "get-together" and "get rough" ponderring on the word that "gets me into" struggle. Not only that this word "gets" different meanings "getting" used in different contexts, but also even same adjectives and prepositions may "get" several varying meanings. Can you "get" which english word I mean?

  • Hi Onee! How are you doing? It's been a while:)

I can see you're STILL as creative as ever!

I love your blog. Keep up the good work!

Many thanks for your great appreciation. C'mon, dear! :) I have edited explanation and given a link to review on Parts of Speech. It's not as difficult as you think, I would suggest. There is a link for other examples as well. I hope you will try. :)

Absolutely, I hope so. Thank you once again for your comment. Have a good day! ^_^
