Writing Challenge #32: Paraphrasing Seth

I read a blog post, “Disaster Tolerance”, written by Seth. In the blog, he mentions that there are two truths about disasters. First, most disasters are not avoidable. Second, they are not so destructive as they seem.

Then, he explains that the acceptance of aforementioned truths creates a positive attitude towards risk-taking. Next, he defines “Disaster Tolerance” as concentrating on the bright side of the outcome rather than being frightened by the probable horrible results. According to him, when you focus on the negative side, negativity will more probably come true. So, by “Disaster tolerance”, you are just focusing on the positive aspects, and as it is said “You reap what you sow”, you cultivate positive outcomes.
