  • Kiya haal hain Raghu, I am indeed very glad to be one of your friends. It's very easy for the American to speak with the British. Whether they use formal language or slang one. Try to stick to the formal one and leave the slang for the time it is needed.

  • Thank you Daniel and Nida for your valuable replies......
  •  Hi Raghavendra, for me, accent is the way how a  language is spoken in a certain geographical area. For example, the English spoken in England sounds different from the one spoken in the USA. What about "slang" I can say they are "terms", "vocabularies" used by all social groups, which, in a way, expressing the way they see the world, society, historical events and so forth. Slangs are mutable along years, and vary too, regarding sex, age, walk of life, habits, culture, time ... well, slangs are terms extremely changeable, slangs which are very used these days can be used in the future any more. In sum, that's it!

  • Hi Raghavendra,

You may find this article useful. Also google "the difference between accent and slag". There are lots of good websites providing information you need.

    Good luck!
