Like many members here, i found EC in Google in a try to find a good site for learning English. Blogs and all others activities are the ways to do that. Some members write blogs to improve their English and some because they want to share their feelings, experiences, interests, etc. Photos make this site more pleasant. From photos also you can learn much, as there is the well known saying "one picture, thousand words". Other members come because they like to meet and talk with people from all over the world. It is a nice way, to have daily contact with different people, with different culture and all this, from their couch, without need to travel and spend money ;)

As an English learner, I came here to grabs all the benefits and opportunities provided by EC as well as to enhance my ability and knowledge to master English language.
If I come here only for fun, my objectives to improve my English is become wasteful. There are better place to have fun such as facebook which we can upload photos, videos or status without need approval. Have a good day.
In my eyes, people come here mostly because they love social, human is social creature. And maybe just in small number they might not like social (in real), but like being here..who knows.
