.....This image represents what I think for me the transformation I'd like to have for myself. The bridge is the path for the other sides which full of beautiful flowers. Flowers, on the other hand are the positive traits I'd like to cultivate for myself...Growing such beautiful flowers in my garden of life I know is not easy..It is like you have to pass a long bridge of trouble before you can have it..But it's worth the journey, isn't?...So as I start my journey, I ensure in my pocket a ten list of traits I'd like to have...And these are:1. Be responsible for my actions---Every time I look back in my past, I realize that there are a lot of times that I had shown cowardliness. So this time, I'll face them with courage to face the responsibility I have along the way.2. Be positive thinker---I'd like to have a positive thoughts instead of thinking always the negative results. I'll just do whatever for me best and right to do..3. Be confident---Confidence in my ability that I can do whatever I desire in my life. I really need this because I know my level of confidence is very low..4. Love myself more---Learn to love myself more is through knowing and accepting my weaknesses and strengths..To forgive myself whenever I make mistake and move on..I should pamper and be fair to myself...5. Be organized---Be organize in my time, things, budget and thoughts..I should be able to plan things ahead of time.6. Be Happy person---I am mood swinger. My moods get easily switch. Now, I'm happy then lonely. Then the next hour mad to the world, then happy again...So I'd like to handle intelligently my different surging emotions to transmute them into positive moods.7. Good at making decisions---I'd like to have a systematic kind of decision- making because I have a tendency in myself to change my decisions so quickly and so often...Particularly, I'd like to copy what "Napoleon Hill's" (my favorite writer) formula: the habit of reaching decisions promptly, and of changing these decisions slowly, if and when needed to be changed..and make decision using my own thinking and not always being influenced by other's opinion.8. Have a peaceful mind---My mind always wander. Sometimes I can not concentrate on one focus only. So I'd like to do things that would give me peace of mind to tame my ever nomadic thoughts.9. Be enthusiastic person---Eagerness and doing own initiative are also qualities that I'd like to acquire. I have to have burning desire to carry out choices I make.10. To be a persistent person all the time---This is the quality I admire most on a person..So for me this is so important for being persistent will be the key in possessing my other 9 traits lists..This quality for me will be my will-power to keep me fighting on after the battle has lost..This is what I need to keep me keeping on until I attain my goals in life...Once I heard.." a winner never quits" so persistence is all I need to win in this battle of life...Agree?

  • Hello Mayumi Garcia,

  • Hello Monika,

Thanks for reading my post and for your beautiful words.....
  • Hi Mayumi!
You've created a wonderful post,I enjoyed to read it,you used a beatiful language.
  • Hi again my dearest James,

I would like to ask something...Since you mentioned here types of love and told about the Agape..(Christ sacrificial love for us)....Is the love of God Father also belong to this type?

    mayumee...
  • My dearest James,

Thanks for commenting here again, Oppah..Yeah, what Zarah said is very meaningful....Love....in deep sense, is like a mom's love...so we can say here that a love for own self belongs to PHILO type, doesn't it? Loving oneself is like mother's loving her children..She will never do anything that will insult or hurt the feelings of her children...If ever they make mistake, she will punish them but only to let them know where they did mistake and what are they mistake do so in the future they will not do the mistake again.. She makes sure to feel them her love but without consenting their wrong doing....As love for oneself, like mother's love pampering her children at the same time not consenting their mistakes but guiding them to stand again to their own selves and saying ''hey child..I know you can do it"......As to ourselves after we recognize we do mistake we can say to ourselves " hey, now you know you've made a mistake, accept it that you made mistakes, but next time believe in yourself that you can do it rightly!...
  • The below writing of mine was posted on Nadiyah's blog post, and I wanted to quote it again as it is related to what Zahra commented here for Mayumee, which I totally agreed with her. What she said was simple but true, beautiful & fabulous in my thoughts, especially one of her phraise 'Love ...in deep sense ,is like a mom's love' which is, I think, comprised of the below all three LOVEs (Sacrificial love, Affectionate love & Physical love): -

"As I personally believe in the Principles, they said that there are three different types of LOVE in the GREEK philosophical terms; firstly it is AGAPE, as an unconditional & sacrificial LOVE (It’s called Christ’s sacrificial LOVE, who died on the cross for the salvation of sinners), and secondly it is PHILOS (or PHILIA), as a friendly LOVE (companionship/friendship LOVE), LOVE between parents & children, LOVE in a pair of Lovers (lover’s LOVE), LOVE of people’s whole personality, and thirdly & finally it is EROS, as a physical & sexual LOVE. Perhaps I don’t think that I need to explain the concepts of each LOVE because each LOVE explains itself on its own word."
  • Hello Zahra,

Thanks again for stopping by and thinking again so deeply about these words...
I also love and thinking about what you mentioned here..That we are all lovable in our own respective way....and yeah, we have to love ourselves as mother shows her love to her child....

Thanks for your wise words....I learned a lot...
    mayumee
  • HEllo Zahra,

Thanks for saying we are two are alike in this particular aspects...At least I have found someone who will be in the same side when passing this bridge of transformation....

    God Bless,
    mayumee
  • I really like this part :

    "4. Love myself more
---Learn to love myself more is through knowing and accepting my weaknesses and strengths..To forgive myself whenever I make mistake and move on..I should pamper and be fair to myself..."

Great point of view !!! If we learn to accept whom we are ;to know ourselves ;not to compare ourselves with other people around ...sure we will love ourselves more and more !!! We are all lovable though sometimes we should punish ourselves but not harshly ...As a mom cares about her child ;so kind though sometimes punishes her child slightly to let him/her know how to always be on the right track ! It is our conscience's responsibility ...We should have a high respect for ourselves !! Never to insult ourselves or hit ourselves ...But sometimes to mention what wrong we did to be aware not to mistake again ...Love ...in deep sense ,is like a mom's love ....Her flesh and blood is her kid ,so she always loves him/her !

    :)
