We calll it "quatrain" in English although it is a Latin word
Ruba'ai = quatrain
Ruba mean four in Arabic. Also used in Urdu.
Ruba'ai means four line poetry. A stanza of four line.
In the same way Mukhammas = five line stanza and
Mussaddas = six line stanza.
Mishaikh, what is called Ruba'ai in Urdu? I need explanations! LOL!
In Urdu it is called Ruba'ai!
