Hi, my friends! Here is the last blog in this series. Today I am posting 10 short life stories. Their ideas are different but they all give us some special messages. Like in the previous blogs, I am asking you to give your opinions about the stories and make a "like-wise" list for us to be able to have a winner. Again, all the stories were written in some wrining challenges and you will easily notice the repetitions of some words and expressions. But we should estimate the ideas of the stories and thier style first of all.

So, here are the stories.

NO1.

Aksha and Abisha were good friends. They were young and also adventurous. They not only lived in the neighborhood but also worked at the same place.

They were two of a kind and shared the same likes and dislikes. Aksha enjoyed reading English books. Abisha enjoyed reading English books, too. Aksha didn't like coffee. Abisha didn't like it, either

One day, a good-looking young man called Vishu joined their company. Aksha liked him and wanted to impress him. Abisha liked him, too and tried to get his attention.

But Vishu wasn't interested in either of them. He thought Aksha's nose was too big for her face and Abisha was too skinny.

When Aksha and Abisha got to know about that they started feeling bad about their appearances. It's a pity that since then Aksha thought of nothing but making her nose smaller, and on Abisha's mind was only gaining weight

 NO 2.

I tried to back off slowly from her, seeing anger on her blushing face.  But I was blocked off  by a man behind me.  So there was no alternative for me except running towards my car and driving off.  I couldn't understand what caused all that anger whereas I hadn't mugged anybody off .

I didn't realize that she was backed up by that guy who blocked me off while I was backing off.  Then I realized that the policy of buttering up did not always work.

Always keep  up  in your mind that being in touch is a must in any relationship.  As soon as the communication between two people stops,  the relationship  breaks off.  Yes, a series of disastrous acts towards me provoked the break up

 NO 3.

Mary works in an advertising company and has a new colleague. His name is Mark. His handsome look catches much of ladies’ attention in the office but Mary doesn’t like him at all.  For her, Mark is really a snobbish and sarcastic. Well, when they met for the first time, he called her “a red mop”.  It really stung her because he was making fun of her. Of course, she has short red hair but it does not look like a mop at all! What a cruel man!

Every day, Mary is trying very hard to avoid talking to Mark. Then, one day the boss put them in the same group for an assignment. The boss said, “You two will be a great team. Mark is very adventurous and communicative while you, Mary, are so intelligent but so quiet. You two will be perfect partners! The theme of this season will be, “an American Date”. What an outspoken boss but well, a boss is always a boss. For her, it is foolish to put them together.  They will hardly talk and that will be bad for the assignment.

Well, it was the vice versa. Everything was going well. Mark was really a good partner. Very smart, funny and kind as well.  He also apologized and told her that he was joking about the red mop. He saw her being very quiet and was hoping that she would laugh at the remark but she looked angry instead. He seemed to be very sincere with his apology. So, Mary apologized to him too and said that it might have been unreasonable to make assumption too early.  Their assignment was successful. Everyone was praising and admiring their work. Well, as to Mary and Mark, they have become good friends ever since.

 NO 4.

Hi Honey!

Please understand, I am what I am, I can’t change myself in spite of trying to be up to the mark.  I know I am different, but do you realize it, too?  Believe me, I am always  up to high doh when you ask me to be up to quality, to your standards.  How can I be up to date if I have risen on the street? I am easy going, I can’t be up to any bad.  Of course I have never been in the red, my life position is very clear I do not gamble, I do not drink, I have never been up to neck in debt.  I live within what I earn from my music.  May be one day I will be up to the mark, to your standards. I can wait, but can you?

 NO 5.

In the era we live, it is of great importance "to be up to date" in every aspect of our lives, otherwise it can be difficult for us " to be up to the mark" and we might be left behind, because we fail " to be up to standard".

If it happens we don't feel good, so to avoid the feeling of being up to high doh we should focus on being up to something so that we can feel good about ourselves, that is of the greatest importance.

 NO 6.

Hi, everyone! My name is Bux, at least, I think so as my parents say it all the time. My parents are my new owners and I prefer to call them the parents because I miss my family. I have no idea why they chose such a strange name for me. Perhaps, they paid many bucks for me and expect me to be up to standards! Live and see! Well, I am a cat just adopted and still very young. I think, I am a kitten, but I know, I am a male and I am always up to something! I want to learn and to explore this world! Both my parents are very kind. They don't punish me, they pat me and play with me, they let me sleep in their bed (I love it so much!), they let me have something they eat and it always smells so delicious! Sometimes, only smells! But I am learning! In half a year I will be up to the mark. And I will see what the older female cats will say when they give birth to my kids! But now, I am up to high doh when I think about our dominant cat Mary as she makes us all behave including my parents, our dog and a crazy bird that swears all the time! When I see her, I always recall a song "I am a poor boy! Nobody loves me!" my daddy sings when my mom tells him to sleep on the coach. As for me, a coach is not that bad if my dad is by my side! Well, I hope, my parents will not be up to neck in debts till the end of the summer and will take me home.  Have I made myself clear?

 NO 7.

Tom was the only one child of his parents. For long, he had been asking for a chic party. At last, his parents yield to his persuasion. He was so excited and full of hope because there would be a chic party in his house the next dayAll his relatives came to the party and gave him such great pleasure. Flex told his parents 'Thank you so very much for arranging such a memorable evening”. But, in the morning his dream was interrupted by the sound of screaming and crying. His father got in the car accident while returning from the market. It was such a sad moment, there was no one left lovingly to call him “Tom”. He had never thought his anticipated pleasures would be shattered by such a terrible accident. His mind got filled with such deep soreness that he wanted to die.

 NO 8.

Japura is a very kind and gentle friend in the class. Gita is her classmate_ who doesn't stop unloading others with her advices. Her habit is to gossip and to spread rumors about others. When the teacher is not in the class, she makes another plan how to annoy the other classmates by poking. She says it is her way of chatting with her friends. But, Gita doesn't understand that hurting other people can be hardly called a chat by anyone.  Japura thinks if she keeps silence and doesn’t improve the situation,  it won’t be fair to the others in the class, so she decided to undertake another step to make Gita not bother others.  Japura smiles while she and Gita glance at each other, and asks her classmates to smile when they meet with Gita. She hopes, the idea will work like a medicine.

 NO 9.

Once upon a time there were three friends. Two of them went to school by bus, while the other went there with his parents by car. One day a new, very smart boy from another city joined their class. Some of the classmates were confused, others felt strong competition in the air, the others wanted to make friends with him. Our three friends decided to have another friend, to give him a chance to make their "gang" bigger :) However, that boy was too arrogant, rude and considered the others to be stupid, he didn't care if there were other kids, who might have been hurt or offended. Eventually, after some months he was alone without friends avoided by others. This  is the end of another stupid story of mine.

NO 10.

Sara was a little girl. She was used to playing with dolls. One day when she was playing one of her dolls was broken. She started crying and came up to her mother with other_ dolls. Her mother took her to the toy store where Sara saw so many dolls. She wanted to have all the dolls but her mother told her to choose only oneSara picked out three dolls. One had the red hair, another had black and the other had brown. Her mother bought them for her. Sara was happy to return home  with the dolls. She started playing with the doll in the park. Her mother came up to her with two cup. One cup was with milk and the other was with juice. Her mother went to the kitchen. When Sara was about to have some milk her friend Rosy came up to her and sat down beside her. Sara gave her the other cup of juice. Sara sipped a little milk  and the cup slipped out of her hand. The other milk spilled on the grass. They started playing with the dolls. Sara gave her (the) other three dolls to play and she started playing with them. They played happily. Sara had no other friends. She had only one friend, Rosy. So, she loved her so much .

Have a great Sunday night and a good week before!

  • Hi, my friends! I am ready to tell you who are our winners until the huricane Matthew blows or washes us away from our land. So, first, I have to tell it was not so easy to choose the winners. All stories are really good, your opinions are different and I think, there are too many stories for the contest. Anyway, we managed to count up your voices. So, as a result, we have got the following list.

    I. No1 (Shoba) and No6 (Dan).

    II. No3 (Ka_ty).

    III. No9 (Lucinka).

    IV. No2 (Mishaikh).

    V. No7 (Serene).

    VI. No8 (Serene).

All the winners will get some modest gifts from me.

The other stories are not worse, but it is a contest. You voted and we just counted. I believe, you all will have a chance to write  perfect stories in the next challenges. Well, I hope, you don't take it seriously. You all are very good writers and great people! I am happy to know you all! Thank you very much!

  • Dear Danny, thank you for your reply, I am happy to know you, too. And I do admire you and Tanya. She’s so good at cooking that there’s one more thing I want to learn from her besides English.  I like your sentence,  To “get into/ put on somebody’s shoes” and to see the world from that point of view is always so exciting!  I should learn more phrases and idioms like the one you taught me. I asked Tanya for the idiom book she mentioned in her group and plan to learn it on my way to work. Hope I will catch up with you someday.

    Thank you very much, Danny.

  • Dear Jade! I am so glad you have read my reply! Ha-ha! Thank you, dear! Maybe, only a few people remember it is my story. But it is of no matter. If someone else had written such a story, I would have highly estimated it as I did estimating a story of tuxedo. To "get into/put on somebody's shoes" and to see the world from that point of view is always so exciting! So, it is Bux's opinion that human food may only smell delisious! Ha-ha! You know, cats don't eat most of what we like. As for me, I can't wait my wife's cooking or baking something. All the plates will be emptied at once!

Thank you very much! And I am happy to know you!

  • Dear Danny, thank you for your reply, and I am very glad to see your comments on these stories. Your comments inspired me to read and think in different angles. Take story NO.9 for example,  when I read it at the first time, I considered myself as an outsider who wanted to take over the problem.  What I cared was the negative description of the new boy. Was it convincing without objective statement of what exactly happened? And if it was true, what was the solution to help a problem child to form or get back healthy values. I thought giving him a chance to learn how to communicate and what sincere friendship was from the others, was better than the punishment of being deserted to a lonely island, especially for a school boy. So I thought it was not that positive story. However, your opinion about the same story cleared the dark clouds above my head.

And about story 6, I swear I didn’t know it was your story. HAHAHA.  I’m glad I didn’t ask who cooked “sometimes, only smells” delicious meal. And I really admire the way you get along with each other in a marriage - the most difficult system in the world in my opinion. But with the key of love and respect as you said, the gate to happiness will always open. (Maybe a comfortable couch is needed sometimes.) You are the standard I should follow to find my Mr. Right.

Thank you very much, Danny and Tanya, your true story encourages me, and gave me a very happy time in the afternoon.

The story was so nice specially very simple description and easy to understand. As per my point of view I have little comments about that story.

NO 1: Story of two young friend. May be both are passing their emotional age when people behave like crazy. But the good things is that their friendship is so strong because their liking and disliking are same. The funny thing is the both young girls liked a same man.

NO 2: It is about relationship where some component is available like break up, buttering, anger, run away. It is a part of relationship. The expression of word is outstanding.

No 3: The story of relationship. All friendship is not establish for the first side. On the other hand their is a lesson from that story which is we should not judge anyone very shortly.

No 4: It is a letter to the lover but the writer is trying to show the real scenario. The writer want to wait for her but would she wait for him ?

No 5: The message is good. We have to be up to date day by day. The expression what is used here is is also up to the mark.

No 6: The autobiography of a cat. He is making plan for him. He likes his new parents a lot. He has a lot of planning for future.

No 7: Every moment of that story was so pleasant but the ending was sorrowful. The the reader is not sure is his father is death or injured.

No 8: The story is common in a lot of schools. Gita is a character what is available in all school. But the matter is that how to stop Gita from her annoying activities. Is the Idea of Japura will work, it is hundred million dollar question.

No 9: It is difficult to make friendship with arrogant mind. The friendship of three boys is so sweet and naturally they can make large their group. On the other hand the other boys also can make desire to make friendship with new boy. But the arrogant mind makes the new boy alone.

No 10: Sweet story of Sara. All the baby girl play like that. And it is so charming to watch when the baby play like this.

My like-Wise list is as follows:

    1. No 1

    2. No 3

    3. No 2

    4. No 6

    5. No 9

    6. No 4

    7. No 10

    8. No 5

    9. No 8

    10. No 7
