Neither of my family members wanted to go shopping with me, so I decided to go alone. I came up downtown when I run into my best friend.
Happy to see me, she said. "I did not expect to see you. That's good to me because neither shopping nor sitting at a restaurant is what I like to do alone."
"Yes, I don't like either, but I must go shopping because my fashion style needs changing," I replied.
We came to a narrow alley. There were shops with women fashion on either side.
My friend asked, "The one on the right side or the one on the left side. Which shop do you prefer?" "Either, it doesn't matter," I replied.
First I tried on a blood-red and then a dark blue dress. Neither dress fitted me and neither color suit my skin color. I looked pale as if I was ill. So I asked for a dress of the same style in the same size but in light green or light blue. They had neither the color nor the size. The sale assistant brought me dresses in my two favorite colors but in another fashion style. Neither of the dresses fitted me. I was annoyed because neither the sales assistant nor my friend understood what I wanted. I gave up buying a dress and looked for a skirt or pants. They had none skirts in my size at that shop, pants either.
I left disappointed the fashion shop. My friend followed me. Suddenly, I stopped walking. I saw a dress in the shop window on the opposite side of the street. I was blown away by it. Immediately, I entered the shop and asked for that dress in my size. The sales assistant gave me the dress. I tried it on, went to the cash register, and paid. Finally!

  • Hi Rose!

    I like your story, but I also don't like shopping :)

    But I prefer to call friends or anybody to go together. I don't like to buy clothes alone.

    Thank you for sharing!

  • Evangelina, that's exactly, I wanted to say.

  • Rose,

    If not liking shopping makes of you not a “real” woman, then I will gladly join you :) - What do you think of this;

  • Yes, dear Onee-chan.
    We often get things at places where we never expected but important is we get it at all.

  • :D :D Rose,,

    Sometimes, I did that. I went to a mall and found no dress to buy. Then, I found the dress somewhere, another time. :D

    Glad that you finally got one. :D
