Statues of liberty

There is a big monument which is established on an island at the entrance of new York Harbor proudly ,by 1886.Amrica had received it as a gift from France. It took ten years to be completed . it is a symbol of liberty .
Many countries followed this model of statues .as example ,We also have our own statue of liberty in Iraq , which is established in the center of Baghdad . It is created by a great engraver and painter jewad Saleem .It stands as impressive reminder of freedom .

I think there is a such statue of liberty in each country .but, is there a real freedom in those countries ? of course the lifeless statues of liberty and freedom have not given freedom as well as fixed slogans and moving photos .

Mogahid , Once , his father had told him “O boy don’t be like those bad guys “ and he indicated by his figure to a grope of drunken thieves they sat smoking under the shadow of freedom statue. His father added “their resting places would be jails for sure “ and the boy kept his father’s will in his mind . he never drank , or committed Taboo or even smoked .
as the years passed by, the son was caused and imprisoned . in his prison’s isolation he had remembered his father’s will. He began to account prisoners in the jail .the honest prisoners were more than thieves and dishonest prisoners.
he was astonished when he saw that most prisoners were honest.
He wondered , why the innocent prisoners always were victims of unjust , whereas many thieves and murderers were free and joyful beneath the fixed slogans and statues of freedom ? why the corrupt always seize the power and control people’s fate.
Yes , there were a lot of wicked criminals with him in the jail, but there were so many guiltless as well .

Is father’s reign had differed and the time changed . Are the norms became up side dawn in his place , or was it the costume of life?

  • The Statue of Liberty represents many important meanings concerning the freedom of  the socities and the  individuals.. I like the meaning of the torch that the statue carries ..It represents the enlightment, the ability to create fire and fire is a symbolic of knowledge which brings light to the people, and lead them to the freedom of the minds.

The freedom that we are looking for is the freedom to be ourselves and to express ourselves too.

The worst part is that most of us are not even aware of that we are not free ,and we are just doing things to please others and be accepted by them ...and when we want to be free ...it costs alot ..

Thank you so much for the great information and the thoughtful meaning of your blog .

2384896875?profile=originalI would like to share you some information about this statueThe statue of liberty, its head, has features amazingly similar to relief sculptures in the Iraqi City of Hatra, 110 km southwest of the city of Mosul. Stylistically, the feature of a head with spikes (the crown representing rays of sun) is almost identical in both the Statue of Liberty and Greco-Roman statues of Hatra, in Iraq. The visual connection to the sun can be further stressed in light of the ancient Arab, Assyrian, Hellenistic and Roman mixture of styles, manifested in the huge temple of the Sun God Shamash ("Shams" is sun in Arabic). The hairstyle, in relationship to the crown, and partially the facial features, appear to have been almost directly taken from statues at Hatra in Iraq
It is believed that ,The French sculptor Frédéric- August Bartholdi.1834-1904, had taken a glance at the Hatra’s statues before working on the Statue of Liberty! in the period just before working on the Statue of Liberty, i read that Bartholdi came to the Middle East in 1855!!,
