No Title (Only The Story of Mine)

It has been long time, I didn’t post any blogs here (I think almost 2 years, oh my….:D). Often times I missed this chance, but unfortunately I didn’t have any good idea to write it down besides the lack of my time, too. And right now, I have an inspiration from my own experience and want to share it with you. About the title, there was none in my head, the idea of the story was popping up immediately without I knew the correct title I should put here and here we go.

Couple days ago I had small reunion with my old friends from university. I myself one of the person who initiated to gather them in one event, it could be the incredible moment considering some of us had never met after we graduated from the college, so I didn’t want to miss it when the good opportunity came, surely. Some friends of mine came to Jakarta which the city I have been working now and coincidental most of them had some business in Jakarta, too. So, I contacted some friends who live in Jakarta to guest them.

The day of the great moment came, it was in the work days and we scheduled to meet after office hours. I was counting down the time waiting the event, I was so excited. Actually, the distance from my office to the venue where we would meet is not too far and I wanted to go there by Gojek (it is kind of online motorcycle for public transportation), so I didn’t need to waste my time in traffic jam (just information that Jakarta is one of the most traffic city in Indonesia and even top 10 in the world) and could get in the venue on time, at least.

Gojek, the online motorcycle transportation

The clock showed close to 5 pm, I prepared myself to leave the office. I took my phone out from my small case bag and started to open the “Gojek” application and ready to order a biker. Unfortunately, my phone’s application was not working well at that time (and It is rare happened to me), I failed so many times (more than two times), the worse was time showed almost 6 pm o’clock and I was so worried that I could be late because I was one of the event’s committee. I cursed the condition and I realized that I had to take action immediately to avoid retardation. So, I decided to take another public transportation, bus “Trans Jakarta (the bus whom has its way)”, I thought I would save my time and could arrive at the venue on time.

Trans Jakarta's Bus

Without wasting any time more I chose “Trans Jakarta” to deliver me to the agreed place, I had to walk to the bus shelter and then transited and getting in the bus after that (I needed to transit till 3 buses), it would take time again. Honestly, It was so dilemma for me, one side I was so afraid to take a wrong decision and the other hand I didn’t want to be late arriving there. Within the hope that my choice was not wrong and then I went to Trans Jakarta’s shelter. Thank God, He was still in my side me giving me His bless, I got the empty buses and no need to stand up till I arrived to the meeting point, besides the time to travel was no longer as I imagined before. I was the one who came earlier than others, and I could arrange anything that were needed during the event. The end.

The moral message I got from my experience above is:

We are as human being so often having a perfect plan doing this or do that, but……often times also the facts say differently. We must bear a sad, disappointed or even angry if our goals are not achieved. We think, these shouldn’t happen because we prepare them well before the day, we curse the conditions, other people and even God, sometimes. Eventually we only can accept them as the fact, that's all. The one thing that we do unconsciously is thinking negatively that if we don’t actualize what we have planed we will be failed. But, often times too, God has a beautiful purposes for us without we expected before.

My contemplation refers to my experience above is I believe what we have already had right now are the best for us from God, of course after we do the best to achieve our objectives or goals first. So, if during the life’s journey we don’t get what we have dreamed for or planed, just believe that God prepares the better things or ways to us, you just need to put positive thinking in your mind and be patient over all.
