You may have noticed that there are so many native English speakers here on MyEC and most of them may actually be native English teachers.

I really enjoy reading their blogs and comments - I do appreciate all their great work here. I'm glad so many of them are trying to teach us English - I take my hat off to them!

Don't you think they are of great help? Do you think it's one of the attractions of MyEC, or can you think of a MyEC without native English speakers? And, which native speaker(s) here do you like most? Why?

If you were a native English speaker or teacher, would you like to take time or take trouble to help teach English here? What's the point?

Just imagine if this was a club of your first language or mother tongue, would you try to sign up here and read all the blogs by members who are not native speakers of your language?

That might be food for thought. Let's talk about it!

  • I hope our native speakers can take time to leave a comment here - join us!

  • Hi Afro,

    You're lucky to be able to ask for help from the native speakers. I think it's one of the attractions of MyEC to have so many native speakers, who seem to be so willing to help.

    Keep it up and thanks!

  • Yes, I always like to learn from native speakers. Actually, we can't learn a foreign language without their help. So, when I get chance to  chat here with a native speaker, i never want to miss it. Here, tony Hawk, T mal and eric helped me a lot. Till now I can ask question to tony and eric, and  I appreciate their help. I found there are some tricks and expressions which we  never can learn without a netive spreker's help. Hum, I wish if I could get a chance to help others to learn my mother tongue bangla.

  • @Batuhan

    Thank you for the pleasant comment. You really made my day!

    @Seeker

    Great! I'm glad you've answered all the questions. I agree with you! Thanks.

  • Hi ann,

    Thank you for the comment. I'm glad you owe your achievement to the English teachers here. Keep it up!

  • Yes, I do believe English teachers are very important persons who help us improve English efficiently. I have to thank Tanya, my friend, my teacher a lot. I do believe without her support my English can not be better like now. (Even it is still not good). Sometimes I think they did, do spend their time, patience to talk (write) to us.
  • Hi Camel,

    Thanks for the message!

  • @erza

    Yes, it seems the teachers here know what they are doing. I'm not really a teacher, but I hope to be one. Thanks for your comment!

    @setareh

    Great. I'm glad you agree native English speakers can be such a blessing for English learners. Thanks.

  • It's so great to have native speakers who are willing to help learners; we really appreciate their efforts. Some teachers like dear Danny and Dayne write very useful and informative blogs; so many thanks to them. Dear Expector, members like you and dear  Lady Anne,Robbie, Mishaikh and some other members are so good at English so you are all such a great help here. So I believe having English teachers among us is a great help.

  • @Evangelina

    Yes, they have earned the respect of us - I owe much to them! My hats off to the person whose name you wouldn't give!

    @Onee

    I'm glad you valued their efforts, too. Yes, it will be so wonderful if more native speakers take time to help us learn English.

    @mitran

    Yes, native English speakers can be so helpful. They will be so glad if they know you appreciate their help.

    @Eman

    Thank you for the comment. Sorry about the chat room - I've never chatted there, though. If only I had time to chat!

    @abiba

    Yes, you can say that again - we have learned a lot from teacher Danny. Thanks.

    @Mishaikh

    Many thanks!

    @Shoba

    I'm glad you find the native English teachers so helpful. By the way, I enjoyed your blogs. Keep it up!

    @Peppo

    Great. I don't really know Mr. Clark, but he must be a great teacher. Thanks!
