It should be the best and most exciting day in her entire life.

Dressed up with a blood-red wedding dress, white roses decorating the skirt of her dress. She wears a red band in the hair and her feet stuck in red high heels.

How beautiful her white skin fits the red dress, her skinny arms are like porcelain.

She wants to be the most beautiful bride to him, she wants to seduce him with her appearance and her fragrance, the fragrance of her young virgin skin. She is very excited and she tries to imagine his face when he will see her.

She met him just some weeks ago. Immediately, she was fascinated by him. His distinguished manners, his charming smile and his gloomy appearance surrounded him with secret charms. She couldn't resist his charm, it was like magic, always when she met him she was like in a dream. Her eyes in his eyes let her forget reality.

He had not waited for long to ask her to marry him and she agreed with pleasure.

She wanted to invite all of her family and friends to accompany her but he disagreed and asked her to have an intimate wedding... just she and him. She wondered but then she agreed. She thinks to convince him to have a party later after their return from the honeymoon.

The last checking gaze into the mirror tells her she is ready.

A limousine has been arrived to pick her up, so she hurries downstairs.

She gets goosebumps at the sight of the black car in front of the front door. It's as if a veil of cold lays on her skin. She gets in and the door locks immediately with ghostly hands. She can't see the driver because behind him is a mirror with a black background. She sees her face, very pale now, her red-painted mouth seems very big and her eyes show a little fear. But then wins the anticipation to see her beloved groom.

The drive takes two hours, then the door opens in the same way as before and she notices the same cold shiver on her skin.

"Please wear this eye mask" she hears a voice and someone gives her a red mask to cover her eyes. "It's just a game", she thinks, "to make it more exciting".

She obeys and someone leads her into a building, she assumes it is a church.

"Hi darling", she hears the voice of her groom and she feels his arms around her hips. "Are you ready to marry me?" "Oh my love, yes I am", she says but her voice shivers. "I was worried because of the strange circumstances under which I was picked up... Please may I remove the mask? "

"Dance with me with your mask", he said with a voice like an echo.

The music starts with a romantic tune and she lies in his arms. She feels his masculine arms around her. His breath touches her shoulder. It's like a fire that burns her skin. His body changes. There isn't a feeling of an alive man from meat and blood any more. The music sounds harder and faster now, the drums hurt her ears.

Her heart feels as if it starts to freeze. In a wild panic, she tears down the mask.

She looks at her groom, her eyes are white open. There is a man, wearing a black coat. On his head a hood. But she doesn't recognize him. His face is just a skull and under the open coat nothing else than bones. His teeth seem to laugh evil laughter.

She pushes him away and tries to run away but she is unable to do it.

She cries as loud as she can.

She wakes up in her bed, sweat bathed she realizes it was just a nightmare.

  • Wow! Rose,

This is an amazing piece of writing, you must be a writer I supposed. I really enjoy reading this.

  • You are right, AG. Maybe I was just afraid that my story will be too long and nobody is willing to read it. Maybe I really should think about to rewrite my story or to expand the plot at least.

  • And yes... You are right... I truly discovered recently that I am fond of black art :D
