  • we each have the pattern and the rythm of our language imprinted in our brain!
The only way to get round this is to live in the country of the language that you are
learning for a long time to hear it and speak it every single day.
evidently it is not still possible to.

By this I meant that at first you have to tune your ears.

    a piece of advice :

Watch on 'BBC World News 'or any English-speaking channel.

At the same time you'll 'kill two birds with one stone' because unless you

have no gap about vocabulary you are going to improve it very fast.

don't focus only on your spoken language but on the listening.

Always pay attention to your speaker especially if he is native

rather than want to talk to say anything.

imitate his words, intonations, expressions, and try to understand them.

because this is the most difficult.

The rest will come naturally without realizing it.

attempts to engage in discussion with tourists and

never tell him your learning English. he doesn't care.

don't say ' excuse me for my bad english ' otherwise he'll say to you.

'Sorry I have to go home now'.

be confident, pretend to understand even if you did not.

speak in making gestures to help.

forget your language for the moment.

talk to yourself aloud (in English).

    Meanwhile read comic strips.

the rest will come true in due course.

target is not to speak like natives.

You need no more than a comfortable intelligibility pronunciation.

Did you make yourself understood when you talked to the holydaymaker?

'be patient' said to me one teacher 'esl' member of 'ec'.

good luck fellows to speak English properly lol!

  • agree with Grace, i just have tried it and it works good :)
@Y.N i guess you imitate their way to speak from movies eh, hehe
    thanks for comments ^_^
  • Way to go!

By the way, the approach teacher Gabriel introduced is practical. It also has helped me to memorize many new words. :)

  • As for me, I use the MMT Approach to remember the spelling, pronunciation and meaning of a word which is a new one on me! Try it! I'm sure you'll find it effective! ;-)

  • nice! thats very good suggestion :D
thank you very much Gabriel, i will try it ;)
