How to Report An Issue [edited]

Good morning, everyone! :)

I'd like to share a piece of information to dear new members or members who haven't known how to report an issue in MyEC yet. Hope you read this blog attentively.

First, know and learn thoroughly all the rules in MyEC on this page "Why Was I Banned?". Read each point of 18 reasons carefully how a member could be banned.

Second, if you think a member has broken the rules, go to the member's page, click "Report Member" at bottom of page, and fill in form your reasons to report and send.

Before sending your report, choose one type of issue. The issues are categorized into six types. They are...

  1. Adult (relates to something sexually suggestive),
  2. Abuse (when you found a member using bad, disgusting, insulting, or taunting language and you feel offended),
  3. Bug (relates to technical problem),
  4. Fraud (when you found fraudulence or something counterfeit, like deceiving or impersonating),
  5. Spam (disruptive online messages, especially commercial messages or links posted on member's wall or as comments or status in MyEC), and
  6. Other.

To complete your report, (not necessary for some issues) please include the link of post or screenshots of the issue. The screenshot can be uploaded on dropbox.com, then copy and paste the link in the form. Explain your reasons why you report that member, not a long one.

Here is an example for you:

Now, what happens when you report a member? This is actually one of Frequently Asked Questions in MyEC. So, let me quote the answer here....

What happens when I report a member?

Thank you for taking the time to report a member that you think may have broken MyEC rules. MyEC admin will review your report and take your concerns into consideration. Action will be taken as appropriate. Please understand that it is MyEC policy not to remove content based solely on religious or political grounds. If you do not include a URL of the member's page or content, we cannot take any action. (The name of the member is not enough, as many of our members have the same name.) Complaints about chat room abuse should include a screenshot of the conversation.

Your report will be very useful to keep this site comfortable and peaceful. So, let's make MyEC a comfortable and peaceful place for learning.

NOTE: Only report when you really have good reasons.

There are ways to ignore problems in MyEC without reporting a member.

  1. When you feel bothered by someone in private ChatRoom, you can click on the member's name and in the pull down list at the bottom.....click on IGNORE.
  2. When you feel bothered by someone (a friend in the friend lists) who was constantly messaged you, you can go to member's page.....click BLOCK message or simply REMOVE as friend.
  3. When you don't like any posts but you don't have good reasons to report, then .....simply just IGNORE the post.

You could write in the comments if you have more questions. Thank you very much for reading.

I wish you a peaceful and wonderful month! :)

  • Hi Diah,

Glad you found it useful. :D

    Fizzy, lol cheers. ^^

    Ⱬẕⓘ₦Ⱥ,

You can set to moderate blog comment. You can approve or disapprove comments as you wish. Or you can set only your friends can comment. Some people don't find it interesting, though.

    Happy blogging!

  • noted ^^
  • Thanks Dear Mod Onee for the informative blog! I should read the rules here in EC :D

  • Dear Lady Noor,

Yes. It's not easy to value a blog. There should be a good reason in reporting it. Sometimes, Admin just advises the member to change some words or context. Anyway, I'm glad you found it useful.

    Thank you for your comment.

  • Welcome, Roman.

Glad you found it useful. ^_^

And, thanks for pointing out my typos. )))

  • Hi Onee!

    Thank you very much! ^_^

And your example is really useful!

  • Hi PAUL,

ADMIN has answered your question in your comment, edited. :)

Let me elaborate it a bit.

If you click Report A Member when you open your own page, then you will report yourself. :D

If you Report A Member when you open the main page or any posts, and you send the link of a member or a post relates to the issue, then, it would be ok.

Thank you for your comment. :)

  • Dear Roman,

Sure you will. You can see the example I've just made in this edited blog. :)

So many thanks for the wishes.

I wish you a blessed month full of happiness and positivity. ^_^

  • Dear Mishaikh,

You're absolutely right. Reporting a member shouldn't be based on personal grudge or just having different viewpoint. I've noted an important line for that (Note in RED).

Your this comment, "sometime occur that a member just try to upright the record previously another member posted some distorted fact without context". Maybe this can be included as Fraud.

Let's hope 'working together' can be implemented here. So many thanks for your comment. :)

  • Dear Paula,

So many thanks for your support. You're right about IGNORING problems. I have added this point in this blog. :)

Yes, Ma'am. :)) No moderator can be online 24/7 here. I like the word 'working together', exactly, that's what we need. ^_^

It's me who learned great work of you, Ma'am. Thank you once again for your comment.

    Have a nice weekend! ^_^
