There was an old homeless woman. She built a small house next to the fence of a king’s palace .
One day, the king saw her small simple house during his morning tour
” whose home is this?” asked the king.
“it belongs to a poor woman” people replied , “she is in the forest now to bring food."
The king ordered his soldiers to destroy her home immediately , because the simple home distorted the view of the fence of palace .
later on , when the poor woman returned home, She was astonished as she saw her house was destroyed .
” who did this ?” she asked,
” the king did it” the people replied.
Then, the woman upped her face to the sky, speaking with God;
“ O my Lord, I was absent , so ,I couldn’t protect my home, but were had you been?
The palace of the king collapsed in a blink of an eye.

I do agree...He is in our sight,heart and soul...the life is meaningful only when it points to HIM...we should have this lovely fact in mind in every single moment!He revives us ,but we sometimes don't feel it and its because our eyes is closed,and no one can open it better than ourselves! This an old woman sees Him clearly and speak with Him as He is in front of her, because she has a sharp memory though the busy life has tired her .We can see him too just like this an old woman . Our foresight depends upon our deep thinking of him .

Just up your head to Him , call Him ,and trust on Him You are not alone He is always beside you.As soon as you call Him just like this an old woman you would feel that He is very near to you .

whose expectation from this world has shrunk,
whose neediness for Your mercy has intensified,

Yes Hala , they always think that they have the power and authority to destroy others. The rulers in general are supported by their soldiers, so they are not cautious about their actions, in the same time we are supported by Allah and we believe that everything takes place by His decree, and His decree accords with His wisdom . He always is stronger than all dictatorial rulers and their soldiers . Our faith that Allah is All-Knowing brings us closer to our Lord and makes us feel more strongly that He is with us .we Just need to trust in his Almighty and let Him reacts against them . I have heard this story from an Arabian preacher .He relates it in Arabic .And I like it so much .It exudes great lessons .So I translate it into English by my own style.
The idea that Allah(God) hears every sound and every utterance .He answers the prayers of those who beseech Him humbly with firm faith .
I agree with you , we should rely on him in difficult situations during our lives. When we believe in God different miracles can happen.
