Falling Asleep

Hi Everyone!

I hope your week is as happy as the happiest butterfly. :))

Have you ever fallen asleep not at the right time?? Or how often it happens?? Last time, I fell asleep while watching a speech on YouTube. Something uncomfortable happened 'cos I had had a promise to have a call with a friend in my two hours of sleeping. LoL...

My worst experience about falling asleep was when I attended a forum with one speaker in front of the listeners. We were sitting on the floor and there was a divider device between boys and girls. After the speech was over, the forum dismissed, and the divider was removed. Poor me! All friends left me alone sleeping there. How embarrassed I felt that time! It was when I was a junior high school student.

The most dangerous one. A few years back, on the nearly desolate road, in the darkness of evening, after a tiring trip, I and a friend of mine went home. He was riding a motorbike and I was behind his back. On the way, he said, "For a while, I don't remember that I am here." "What?? Let's stop and eat!", I responded. .... In other time, one of my friends had an accident in the same case with her brother. They got wounded and my friend couldn't walk well for a month. So, I was really grateful that I was fine. Nodding off while driving is indeed dangerous. We could fall asleep in the accident.

According to me, this sudden sleep indicates that one doesn't have problems of insomnia. It shows how comfortable and peaceful a person can sleep anytime, sometimes everywhere. However, it could make something unwanted or even dangerous happen. How do we cope with that? Not all people can consume caffeine.

I guess almost all people experienced falling asleep not at the right time. What about you? Would you tell us your experience about that?

  • Hi Janeth!

Thank you so much for your wishes. ^^

Now I think about what other factors can make people easily fall asleep. Sometimes, even a tired person with full of thoughts in head doesn't make them fall asleep easily. I think it's the secret how the heart feel peaceful, and maybe some other things.

I don't understand the connection between thyroid and sleep. But poor her if she can't cope with that while leading a meeting. :)) I hope no body is angry. ^^

Thank you for your visit and comment. :)

  • Hi One-Chan, thanks for sharing this blog!
I usually don't fall asleep frequently, but when I am more tired I do it.  I have a friend of mine who usually does it. Sometimes we are in a meeting and she falls asleep.....or even worse she is leading the meeting and she falls asleep. She says that her thyroid doesn't work well and that explains her problem.I don't know, I suppose it could be many reasons to fall sleep. Moreover, you have a good point there, many accidents happen to people while nodding off.

Have a great Sunday! (I hope you had a Sunday "as happy as the happiest butterfly")

  • Aamiin :)

  • Thank you, dear Onee, for your kind words!

    Best wishes to you!

  • Okay, dear Roman. Thank you for your time.

    :)

  • Yes, Onee, with intention to sleep.

  • Fizzy, LoL....

I hope you're okay now. And, ohh, I guess you're as happy as a cute sleeping cat now. I forgot that it's weekend. lol.

Thank you for your comment, dear Fizzy. ^^

  • Svitlana,

I'm sorry about that. Actually, I didn't not fall asleep easily either, but it was not insomnia 'cos I can sleep at night well. It happens to me again recently, to fall asleep anytime. When I think about it, maybe something charged my mind during my long holiday in my hometown. Also, maybe because I renew my habits.

Same like you, I never fall sleep on public transport, though.

I really hope you have comfortable sleep every night without much worries anymore.

Thank you so much for sharing your story here. :)

  • Well, dear friends, I know that falling asleep also means just usual thing when you tried hardly to sleep at night and you finally fell asleep...(change from a waking to a sleeping state). But here, it mainly means cease to pay attention, dictionary.com. :))
