  • But is the proverb "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." nice? Directly, It's like suggesting to cease from exist from society. So it's a round about proverb that can't take straightforward. Because then u would go against the very same proverb. :)

    So it's meaning is just that, think thoroughly, what you want, before talk. So, that u won't regret later.

    Well, If you're really ready to cease from exist for everyone else, then it doesn't matter. U can shut up and cease from the sight of everyone else, like the proverb suggests, or u can as well kill everyone else. The result of being alone would be same. Only the regret will be different. ;)

    I completely agree with this proverb.There are two Irish proverbs about silence have the same meaning one of them is:Melodious is the closed mouth.and the other is:
    Who keeps his tongue keeps his friends.Aren't they nice?
