Blog Challenge-Either/neither/neither nor

This year neither I nor my dearest hubby was  aware about upcoming Valentine's! How come? Maybe we are focused on another important issue. But, neither of us is running out of LOVE, be sure! lol

So, what to do? I think, I am going to surprise him by a nice gift though a tight hug will be enough to make him happy! And, it is also true he tends to think gift is not that much important,  I don't, either/ neither do I. Then, what is important?  In our thinking, important is understanding, important is whether we care each other or not!

You may take us either right or wrong. But, I think either we are okay! hahaha Though, either of us is busy in our professional life but we like to spend quality time. He hates to stay more time outside, I do, either!  And, no matter, either he is out of home for any business trip or another purpose, I always feel lonely. I think, either of us feel in the same way.

  • OK, let me think how to explain it in English

  • Tanya mam, I need explanation when you use either as ONE and either as TWO, thanks!

  • Dear Bet, I'd like to ask again if everything is clear with EITHER. If not, I will try to explain again as I see your question on my blog

  • Thanks, dear!

  • Dear Bet, "either of us" is correct if we mean that. For example,

Either of us can correct your mistakes.

I mean that Danny can do it or I can do it. But I don't mean we both will do it, only one of us.

I see, that Rysperski has given very good examples. I'd like to add.

When two people speak and one of them says an affirmative sentence, the other answers "So do/am/will... I". If the sentence was negative, the other answers "Neither do/am/will.... I".

    For example:

    - I like summer.

    - So do I.

_ I will not do it.

    - Neither will I.

If we want to express the same with one sentence, we use the same expressions:

My husband wakes up early and so do I.

He doesn't like to stay away for long and neither do I.

Besides, I have to add one more correction (at the and of your story). "It is of no matter"

  • so, either of us is wrong?

  • Hahaha....Onee dear!

  • Oh dear Bet,

    So sweet of you. ^_^

  • Thanks a lot, dear Rysperski and Tanya! You know, it is a great help! I must re-write according to your corrections and try to remember and may be I will write another short paragraph!

Thanks, Roman for your nice wish!

  • Hi Bet!

    Nice story! :)

I also wish you a happy and long life together!

    Thank you for sharing!
