A story every now and then >>

A little bird was flying south for the Winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.
As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.

The dung was actually thawing him out!
He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.

A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

  • I felt bad after reading this blog.......but it's OK.

  • I don't know who's the original author of this story, but I think you should inform the members that this is not your 'original' work.

  • Hi Ali!

I like this story since the first time I have read it before, but just be careful that it may be deleted by the moderators of the site as they may consider it as plagiarizing.

    Thanks for the nice sharing.

  • Perhaps the bird should've included a "bullshit detector" in his disaster preparedness kit? Cats and cows are well known for ganging up on those little feathery, and early morning risers...By the way, a "bullshit detector" is loosely translated as meaning proper wisdom to discern truth from lies...Everyone should have one...I got mine at the local Walmart for $2.99(on clearance)...Anyway Ali, thanks for sharing. A few of us in America are well aware of that old "proverb like story"...I'll post a similar one for you. This one often gives me hope and faith in the goodness of humanity. http://www.wscribe.com/parables/goose.html Take care.
