You can probably get them there Junko; India produces a lot of Cashews. I know I can buy the red Cashew apple here in Hong Kong so I suspect maybe you can buy them in Japan also. A Green (unripe) one is not edible *LOL* As a lady explained it to me once "it's like a cross between a lemon and a green persimmon". Extremely Sour. A ripe fruit is OK but they make a juice from it that is very good.
